Lazio need more defenders

With the chance of Champions League football potentially in the future, Lazio will need a deeper squad to compete in both Europe and Serie A.

They are considering an offer to get Benoit Tremoulinas from Sevilla and are prepping a 7million Euro bid for him.

Tremoulinas has only spent one year at Sevilla after coming over from Dynamo Kviv but could be on his way to Serie A. If Lazio meet the price for Sevilla, then he could be on the way.

It will be a tough loss for Sevilla as they have already lost Aleix Vidal and Ivan Rakitic to Barcelona in the last two years, Carlos Bacca to AC Milan, and now potentially Tremoulinas to Lazio. But the back to back Europa League champions have shown that they can rebound from any loss.

Lazio would get a quality right back that get up forward and provide crosses in the box, aswell as providing good defensive work.

Lazio not the best option for the Frenchman?

Although it must be nice for Tremoulinas to notice that some teams want his service, it may not be the best for the French international to move.

Sevilla are already guaranteed a spot in the Champions League while Lazio have to travel to play Bayern Leverkusen in a very tough away leg in Champions League playoff rounds.

It also would be smart to consider is one of the more quality teams in Spanish football and are growing while Lazio have some ground to make up in Serie A.

He is also getting playing time at Sevilla so that is not the issue. He has made 32 appearances for the club already and is trying to establish a name for himself in world football. He is getting a chance to win trophies and contend in Europe and the chances of both are higher in Sevilla than in Lazio but if Sevilla want to make the move then it may be against his wishes.

Although it would be a good move for Lazio, it may not be the best move for the player.
