There were more thrills and spills in a dramatic second week in Serie A, and we collected it all in our weekly roundup.

Late goal gives Sassuolo win over Bologna

In what was a tense and close game between Sassuolo and Bologna, it took a late winner by Antonio Floro Flores to steal all three points for Sassuolo. The game started off on Bologna's side, forcing Andrea Consigli to make some key saves to keep Sassuolo in the game. But in the 86th minute, Karim Laribi was in on goal and mis-hit the ball as he went to finish off the game. The ball fell to Flores, who put in his second goal of the season to steal the points and allow Sassuolo to go top of the table.

AC Milan win narrowly over Empoli

It was a first win for AC Milan in the 2015 season as they beat Empoli 2-1. The game started off well for Milan as Carlos Bacca started off the scoring in the 16th minute with a brilliant finish. He linked up well with other new signing Luiz Adriano on the goal as the two looked to bounce back from disappointing debuts last week. But the lead lasted for less than five minutes as Riccardo Saponara's shot found the back of the net, as Empoli looked to steal some points against Milan. But in the second half, it was Luiz Adriano who scored the winner for Milan in the 69th minute. It was the former Shaktar man's header that rattled the net as Milan sealed all three points but it didn't come easy as they must play better if they want to improve on last years finish.

Juventus disappoint again

It was a tense affair between Roma and Juventus as two of Italy's top teams battled it out in the Stadio Olimpico. The first half was quite uneventful as the only major moments was a yellow card by Paul Pogba and Miralem Pjanic forcing a save from Gianluigi Buffon right before the half. Roma then struck first in the second half when Pjanic hit a stunner of a free kick, hitting the top corner of the goal to give Roma the lead. Things then went from bad to worse as Patrice Evra was sent off after he was shown his second yellow. Both of the yellows were causes of a silly challenges and, down to 10 men, Juve looked down and out. The set piece that followed from the red card, saw Edin Dzeko rise up and head a second goal in for Roma as they took control of this match. Juve made things interesting when Pabolo Dybala scored in the 86th minute to make it 2-1 but Roma saw things out for a huge win.

Torino's three second half goals enough vs Fiorentina

It was a tight game between Fiorentina and Torino. Fiorentina struck in the 10th minute when Marcus Alonso followed up a rebound from a set piece. Nikola Kalinic's header was saved well by Daniele Padelli but Alonso was right there to knock it home. It was all Fiorentina in the first half as Kalinic had another header saved just minutes later. Torino struggled to get things going, with a Fabio Quagliarella header that was well saved by Ciprian Tatarusanu being Torino's best chance as the two teams finished off the first half. But the second half belonged all to Torino as they scored three goals in a 10 minute span to take control. It started when a Kamil Glik header was saved but the ball fell right to Emiliano Moretti who finished for the equaliser. Quagliarella gave Torino the lead when he recieved a through ball from Bruno Peres and finished beautifully. Daniele Baselli finished off the match in the 77th when he hit a stunner from a long way out that stung the top left corner.

Rigoni gives Palermo all three points against Udinese

After shocking Juventus last week, Udinese looked to gain another three points against Palermo. But they did not get off to the right start as Luca Rigoni got Palermo off to a dream start with an in close header that left goalie Orestis Karnezis helpless. Rigoni recieved a great cross from Franco Vázquez and headed home his first Serie A goal of the season. It turned out to be the only goal in the match as Palermo walked away with all three points in the match.

Chievo blow out Lazio

It was a perfect game from Chievo Verona as they blew out Lazio for their second win in the Serie A season. The game started out great for Chievo when Riccardo Meggiorini hit a good shot from outside the box to take the 1-0 lead. Alberto Paloschi made it 2-0 when his header from inside the box made it past Etrit Berisha. Chievo were able to finish off the game before halftime as Valter Birsa added a third goal with a brilliant free kick. Paloschi then grabbed his second goal of the game in the 68th minute as Chievo see themselves sitting at the top of the standings.

Atalanta solid in win over Frosinone

It was dominant win for Atalanta as they saw out a 2-0 win over Frosinone. Atalanta, who had 61% possession in the game, started off the game in great fashion when Leonardo Blanchard gave away a penalty. But Mauricio Pinilla's attempt was turned away by Marco Sportiello. But Atalanta finally got their goal when Guglielmo Stendardo got on top of a rebound from a corner for the 1-0 lead. Alejandro Gómez finished off Frosinone when he hit a long range stunner to double the lead.

Napoli collapse in second half in draw vs. Sampdoria

It was a dream start of a first half for NapoliGonzalo Higuaín got things off for Napoli when he gave them the 1-0 lead in the ninth minute. Lorenzo Insigne's pass gave Higuan space and he finished with his left to give Napoli the lead. Higuan then made it 2-0 when he found the left corner from the right side of the box and Napoli were off and running. It seemed like a walk in the park in the second half but Sampdoria had other ideas. The second half got to roaring start when Raúl Albiol brought down Fernando in the box and a penalty was given. Citadin Eder converted the penalty to cut the Napoli lead in half. Eder scored his second minutes later as he recieved a pass from Roberto Soriano on the left corner of the box and found the opposite corner to level things up for Sampdoria. Sampdoria were able to fend off 27 shots by Napoli to seal a point, although only seven were on target.

Two second half goals give Genoa win over Hellas

It was a good second half performance from Genoa over Hellas Verona. The first major chance of the game came in the 24th minute when Serge Gakpé was in close range but his shot sailed wide. The game was scoreless at the half and seem destined for a 0-0 draw but Genoa had other plans. Leonardo Pavoletti got the game winner for Genoa when he found some space in the box and fired it past Rafael. Gakpe would finally get his goal as his header in the 76th minute finished off the game for Genoa.

Jovetic brace gives Inter Milan narrow win over Carpi

Once again it was Stevan Jovetic who was the hero for Inter Milan as they beat minnows Carpi. Jovetic got the scoring off for Inter in the 31st minute as he followed up a rebound of his own to beat Zeljko Brkic. Guarin's cross found Jovetic and his shot was initially saved but he followed up the rebound to give Inter Milan the lead. Carpi finally found an equaliser in the 81st minute when sub Antonio Di Gaudio leveled things up for the newly promoted side. But in the 88th minute, Freddy Guarin was brought down in the box by Gabriel Silva and Inter were awarded a penalty. Jovetic stepped up and converted as Inter Milan escaped with another narrow victory once again.
