According to reports in the Daily Mail, Italian club Napoli are interested in the Fulham youngster Moussa Dembele and could sign him in the winter transfer window.
Finding his form at Fulham
Dembele spent his earlier playing days at PSG, coming through their academy. But at the age of 16, the French youngster made the switch to England to join Fulham in 2012. He has scored nine goals in 33 appearances for the club so far. While those totals may be a little bit low, he is still a youngster and has a lot of time to develop and many teams are looking at signing the youngster.
Dembele has attracted interest from many of Europe’s top clubs as he has shown a lot of potential to become a future star. The likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in signing him and it looks like Napoli might have to splash some big time cash if they want to pry him away from those top clubs.
Help in the attack
Napoli have been flying in attack ever since the season started and find themselves in second place in Serie A terms of goals scored this season with 31 . Much credit should be given to Gonzalo Higuain but the likes of Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens, and Marek Hamsik should also get credit. Dembele would add depth to the Napoli bench if he made the switch
If Demeble were to make the switch to Naples he would have a hard time breaking into the top club but that is to be expected with any top club he moves to. He’s 20 years old and still has a lot of potential and could learn a lot from Gonzalo Higuain however. Higuain has been in top form this season and finding a quality backup for him should be a top priority for Napoli.
