On the ther side, Sampdoria are facing a disappointing season following their bad start which also caused the sacking of Walter Zenga last november. Montella, the current manager, is trying to stay away from the relegation zone in which they are eight points clear. Their last win against Udinese gave them a huge hope for their fight for the next few rounds.

Press conference highlights

Montella’s press conference which was held earlier this day , discussed the situation at Milan and how change of management can happen in football.

Also, he ruled out Anotnio Cassano from this match as he suffered a slight problem during training. Montella warned that his players need to watch out for Mario Balotelli’s talent claiming that he “can pull something out of the hat”. And finally, he said his team not far from the relegation zone and warns against complacency.

Brocchi's press conference saw him feature for the first time as Milan manager, and started off with the knowledge he has about Sampdoria. He also admired the ex-manager Mihajlovic for the work he has done for the team and stating that he wont “wipe out” what he did.

Newspapers suggested that, brocchi’s arrival means that Milan will enter games with a trquartista in midfield, yet the manager says its possible but it wont feature in all games. Counting on Bonnaventura or The japanese midfielder to fill the trequartista position. Among the questions in the press conference was of course mario Balotelli, Brocchi responds that there are “no more chances”, and “Balotelli should show he truly cares about the Milan jersey he is wearing".
