Carpi, thanks to their coach Fabrizio Castori, firmly believes Carpi should not fear anyone in these last few fixtures of the season as the fight to stay safe heats up. Castori insists Carpi “can get a result against anyone.”
Carpi sit seventeenth on thirty-one points, one point from relegation threatened Frosinone on thirty points. However, tomorrow Carpi faces a daunting encounter against a rejuvenated Milan at the San Siro with the same hunger to keep on fighting.
During the pre-match press-conference Castori has instilled from the get go confidence Castori and Carpi need, “We come into the game focused and in good form.”
Looking forward to the Milan fixture, Castori already has the vision Carpi, “is aiming to get a result,” however, Castori knows it will not be easy, he continued, “You can never take anything for granted in football.” Castori did not shun at the fact his team will be, “facing a strong team,” which in his eyes, “needs no introduction, but we’ll be focused and play the Carpi way.”
The Carpi way is, “fighting for every ball.” The gap between both sides in quality is evident though Castori firmly believes, “we can get a result against anyone.”
Carpi will not give up
This season has not been ideal for Carpi. This relegation battle has been long and a few results especially against Inter Milan have helped them at this moment to be one point safe. Though, mentally may take a toll as relegated teams are playing before and after others, “Sure, it’d be better to play at the same time,” which in Castori’s eyes, “doesn’t change much.”
Carpi see this fixture as an opportunity to continue to climb, “It’s up to us to have that belief that we can get a result,” he also believes they need to, “go onto the pitch with the right attitude.”
