Cesc Fàbregas clarified matters regarding his future when he confirmed to journalists that he will be staying put at FC Barcelona.

"Many people have said that I have to make things clear," he said, "My dream since I was a young boy was to be at Barcelona."

"That dream has not changed."

The 26-year-old went on to say: "It is true that the level of competition at this club is very high, perhaps only Real Madrid come close in terms of overall excellence, but I am prepared to give my best everyday."

When asked about the arrival of the Brazilian Neymar and whether he was worried about having his playing time jeopardized, Fàbregas went on to say: I have spoken to the coach Tata Martino. I am aware of what he wants from me and I am ready for it."

Cesc Fàbregas and Barcelona will play their final friendly of their preseason against a Malaysian XI at Bukit Jalil National Stadium this Saturday.
