Barcelona's transfer ban has been lifted pending the outcome of the appeal. The good news for Barcelona essentially means that the Catalan side are now eligible to sign players this Summer.
Barcelona were previously handed a ban of 2 years, whereby Tata Martina would be forbidden to sign any players. The ban was handed to Barca following a breach in FIFA's rules regarding signing overseas youngsters. Barcelona's appeal will now be under official scrutiny from the FIFA officials, but until a decision has been made, Barcelona can sign players as they please.
A FIFA statement said: "The chairman of the FIFA appeal committee considered that the appeal lodged by the club is to be granted suspensive effect"
