Talks are taking place between Chelsea, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid which could see Fernando Torres move back to Atletico Madrid and Alessio Cerci return to Serie A with AC Milan.

Torres has eighteen months left on his Chelsea contract but he is not in the plans of manager, Jose Mourinho and has been loaned to AC Milan for two years but it hasn't worked out for him in Italy. He has scored one goal in his ten appearances and has fallen out of favour with Filippo Inzaghi.

It is believed AC Milan would be happy to cancel their loan of Torres if Atletico will loan Cerci to them. Cerci is believed to favour a return to Milan but it is thought he would prefer to play for Roberto Mancini's, Internazionale so the agreement may yet come to nothing.

Diego Simeone is a big fan of Torres and believes his pace would complement Mario Mandzukic and the pair could provide the goals that would give Atletico a good chance of retaining their La Liga title.

If an agreement is made Torres would also be eligible to represent Atletico in the Champions League and could provide a boost to a squad that is lacking in numbers in attacking areas.
