A comfortable 4-0 win for Barcelona was enough to keep them top of La Liga over rivals Real Madrid as a brace from Luis Suarez and goals from Lionel Messi and Marc Bartra were the entertainment tonight at the Camp Nou.

In a match where Neymar did not feature at all for 90 minutes, Pedro ended up starting over the Brazilian but that wouldn't change the mentality of the side. The hosts had a chance to draw first blood only 5 minutes in when Pedro was able to feed the ball to Suarez, who is lurking at the back post, however Casado was able to get the shot out for a corner. Almeria had their chance 10 minutes later when Wellington Silva's shot went far narrowly wide of the far upright.

Barcelona finally broke the deadlock inside 33 minutes from Lionel Messi.  The Argentine was able to receive the ball outside of the box on the right wing and skiped inside of Edgar and onto his left foot. It allowed the Barca man to shoot, and he obliged by bending a magnificent effort inside the far corner to give the lead to the home side.

In the second half, Barcelona were defintely looking to score more as they were able to maintain possession while Almeria looked to sit deep and attempt to stifle them. That didn't help the vistors as 55 minutes in, Luis Suarez doubled the lead for the Blaugrana. The Uruguayan came wide on the right and received the ball from Dani Alves in space. The striker then allowed a brilliant effort into the top corner at the far post, making it unable for Julian to stop it.

In the 75th minute, Marc Bartra made it 3 for Barcelona, scoring his first goal of the season off Xavi's corner with allowed the center back to head it home inside the far post.

Luis Suarez finished it off with his brace and Barca's 4th goal in the last minute of the match. Pedro again was able to spot Suarez in space on the far side of the box and picked him out for a simple finish into the vacant net to secure the 3 points.

It was a good win for the Blaugrana as they still set atop La Liga with 7 points over Real Madrid and now will face a tough match against Sevilla over the weekend while Almeria, who currently sit penultimate last in the relegation zone, takes on Granada.
