The agent of AC Milan wonderkid Hachim Mastour claims that the 16-year-old has been interesting Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Mastour, 16, has made headlines around the world since bursting onto the scene two years ago, with the youngster compared to Madrid great Zinedine Zidane.

Agent Dario Paolillo defended his client's recent lack of appearances, saying, “He’s coming back from a meniscus injury.”

But Paolillo also claimed that, “In January we had some contact with Real Madrid. They rate him highly.”

The attacking midfielder played for Milan against Madrid in a friendly back in December, coming on for the last fifteen minutes as the Italians ran out 4-2 winners in Dubai.

Mastour has drawn praise from all around the club, including from former manager and legendary forward Filippo Inzaghi.

"He's a talented player and he is doing very well," he said. "Nobody at Milan has any doubts about his ability.

"He has the right attitude on the pitch, plays well, scores lots and listens to the instructions he receives from the bench. This is the most important thing for me."

Any move would constitute a considerable statement of intent for the future from Los Merengues, having recently signed the in-demand teenage starlet Martin Ødegaard.
