Barcelona right wing-back, Dani Alves, will announce the decision he has taken on his future at the club after the Champions League final on June 6th.
The Brazilian is out of contract this summer and there has been speculation that he has turned down a new offer to try a new challenge at Paris Saint-Germain.
Alves, 32, has been at the club for seven years and has enjoyed great success at the club, winning the Champions League twice with a third possible in June as the Spanish champions face Juventus in the final.
Alves said, “From 7th June I’ll announce my future. Now, the future is about playing in two finals.”
“My intention was not to speak, but I haven’t been respected with a lot of silly things. It’s gone too far.”
“I don’t want anybody to influence my decisions. My future only depends on me.”
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has spoken of his wish to keep Alves at the Nou Camp but his teammates are understood to want the best for him whether it is away from the club or not, after seven years as a great servant to the club in one of the greatest football teams of all time.
