After defeating Italy 32-10 at Twickenham on Saturday evening, France continue their Rugby World Cup campaign, with a match against fellow europeans, Romania

Les Bleus had some promising moments against the Italians, but will look to take it up a notch on Wednesday evening.

Opponents Romania have selected a vastly experienced side for their opening match at the competition, with the 15 starters sharing 684 Test appearances between them.

Saint-Andre rings changes for Pool D clash

Head coach Philippe Saint-Andre has made 13 changes to his starting line-up from the Italy game last Saturday.

Only Louis Picamoles and Noa Nakaitaci retain the places in the first XV in what should be an easy game for the French.

Picamoles is joined in the back-row by Fulgence Ouedraogo and Yannick Nyanga, whilst Dimitri Szarzewski skippers the side from hooker.

In the backline, Wesley Fofana returns from injury, to partner Gael Fickou in an exciting centre pairing, with Sofiane Guitoune taking the injured Yoann Huget's place on the right wing.

Romania name experienced side for opener

The starting XV's average age is nearing 30, with Lynn Howells opting to play his most experienced side possible.

Prop Paulica Ion and fly-half Danut Dumbrava will become just the second and third players to have turned out for Romania at four different World Cup's, with Ovidiu Tonita joining them if he emerges from the bench.

With Romania facing Ireland just five days after this opener against the French, Howells' side could not have been handed a much tougher task to start this World Cup.
