The pools for next season's Champions Cup and Challenge Cup competitions are now known, following Wednesday's draw in Neuchatel, Switzerland

European and English champions Saracens are in Pool 3 alongside giants Toulon, while Pro 12 Champions Connacht will face Wasps in Pool 2.

The two finals will take place next May at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, making it the third time the major European final will be held in the Scottish capital. 

English champions Saracens take on Toulon in Pool 3

Saracens reward for winning last season's competition, is a Pool which includes three-times champions Toulon as well as the Scarlets and Sale

Clermont, Bordeaux and Exeter will rekindle last season's fascinating battles after being drawn alongside eachother in Pool 5, where they are joined by Ulster.

French champs Racing 92 face tricky Pool 1

After their stunning victory over Toulon in last Friday's French Top 14 final, Racing 92 have been handed a difficult Champions Cup draw, where they will face Glasgow Warriors, Leicester Tigers and Munster in Pool 1.

Last season's Challenge Cup champions Montpellier will take on French rivals Castres, as well as former winners of this competition, Leinster and Northampton.

Pro 12 champs Connacht's return to the premier European competition will see them face Wasps, Toulouse and whipping boys Zebre from Italy. 

Bristol to meet neighbours Bath in pick of Challenge Cup ties

In their return to European Rugby, Bristol will face their South-West neighbours Bath, as well as Cardiff Blues and Pau in the stand-out pool of the competition. 

Last year's losing finalists Harlequins are in Pool 5 alongside Edinburgh, Stade Francais and Romanian club Timisoara Saracens

La Rochelle and Brive will face off in an all-French tie in Pool 1, where they are joined by Gloucester and Treviso, while Pool 2 sees the Ospreys and Newcastle battle it out with French pair Lyon and Grenoble

Brive, Worcester and the Newport-Gwent Dragons have been handed the task of travelling to Siberia, after being drawn in Pool 3 alongside Russian outfit Einsei-STM
