Wolves head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to pick up their win of the season against a strong Spurs side.

It will be a fascinating encounter for both sides, who have had differing fortunes to start the season.

That said, with the potential absence of Antonio Conte from the technical area after his sending off against Chelsea after full time, the visitors will have more hope of a victory.

Tottenham Hotspur

On the field, the main absentee for the game will be Cristian Romero, who was injured by a challenge from Marc Cucurella early on in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea on Sunday, but the Argentine managed to soldier on to play the full 90 minutes.

It is now reported by Alasdair Gold that the centre back could miss up to four weeks with an injury that is thought to have been sustained on his knee.

That is a big miss for the North London club, who will now rely on one of Clement Lenglet or Davinson Sanchez to step up whilst he is on the sidelines.

Tanguy Ndombele has also confirmed a loan move to Napoli which makes him unavailable for the rest of the season, whilst Giovani Lo Celso has returned to Villarreal for the campaign.

Oliver Skipp is continuing his recovery and is expected to be available to Conte again soon.

The Italian said that he hopes he will not be serving a touchline ban for his conduct against Chelsea, which saw both managers sent off for altercations after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's equaliser and after full time.

Bruno Lage could hand a debut to new signing Matheus Nunes, who arrived at the club following his transfer from Sporting Lisbon.

Joao Moutinho has returned to training ahead of the fixture, and could therefore feature in the game, which would hand the Portuguese midfielder his first appearance of the season if he were to play.

Morgan Gibbs-White has confirmed a move away from the Midlands club, heading to Nottingham Forest, ending a 14 year spell with Wolves.

Striker Raul Jimenez remains sidelined with a knee injury which he picked up in pre-season, whilst Chiquinho will be out for an extended period after suffering an ACL injury that will see him miss most of the season.

  • Likely lineups

Tottenham Hotspur

Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Royal, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Son, Kane.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sa; Jonny, Collins, Kilman, Ait-Nouri; Dendoncker, Neves, Guedes, Podence, Neto; Hwang.

  • Key players

Dejan Kulusevski

There are a few players that to choose from for Spurs, but as well as the two more appreciated players in the front three Tottenham have, Kulusevksi will be a huge threat for the hosts on Saturday afternoon.

Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son will also complete a potent attack, but with just one goal between them so far this season, the Swede could be the man to make the difference.

The former Juventus man got his first home goal for the club when he netted the fourth against Southampton on the opening day of the campaign and will want to add to his tally this time out.

Ruben Neves

There were reports of a potential departure for the Portuguese midfielder from the club in the summer, but Wolves fans will be delighted that he has so far stuck around for the next campaign.

Neves has the ability to score from range and also can pick out clever passes, making him an asset to any side when trying to break down a defence.

Nunes and Goncalo Guedes could also pose threats for the visitors going forwards, as both are new players that Spurs will have to do their homework on in order to prevent them from making life difficult for the hosts on the afternoon.
