Thomas Frank's Brentford play host to Jesse Marsch's Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Gtech Community Stadium, with both sides looking to maintain their record of only one loss so far.

It is a fixture which comes just two days after the summer transfer window finally closed, meaning that the action on the pitch, rather than the business off of it, becomes the main focus once more.

There is also some recent drama in this matchup, with it being the very same one in which Leeds secured their status in the top flight on the final day at the end of last season, prompting wild celebrations in the away end.

As for this season though, there have yet to be any away supporters heading back with a win from west London, as the Bees remain unbeaten at their home ground - including a huge 4-0 win against Manchester United.

That said, Leeds too have had their own big result, beating Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road, meaning they sit in an impressive seventh place - level on points with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool no less - heading into this one.

Team News

Brentford

During his pre-match press conference, Thomas Frank gave an update on his squad's availability, which included some returning names, but also some players who either continue to be absent or are newly-sidelined.

"Christian [Norgaard] has an achilles problem, so he'll be out for some weeks," the 48-year-old said. "No surgery, it'll just recover over time. He's had issues with the achilles over a period of time and now it's too much."

Frank also revealed that club captain Pontus Jansson is in line to return to the starting eleven, having been absent with a foot injury, while Kristoffer Ajer could also come back, but Mikel Damsgaard still is not quite fit enough to start.

Leeds

Speaking on Thursday, it was mostly positive news as far as Leeds fans were concerned from head coach Jesse Marsch, with just two players set to be ruled out for their upcoming trip to the capital.

The American said: "An update on Rodrigo - when it [shoulder] pops out it's about as good a case as possible, so that means that it doesn't need surgery and that hopefully in three to four weeks it can calm down. Everyone else is in training except for Stuart Dallas."

Effectively, that means that the likes of Patrick Bamford, Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling are all in contention to start at the weekend, a welcome boost considering Marsch has had to deal with his fair share of absences at the start of this campaign.

Likely Lineups

Brentford

Raya; Hickey, Jansson, Mee, Henry; Dasilva, Janelt, Jensen; Mbeumo, Toney, Wissa

Leeds

Meslier; Kristensen, Koch, Llorente, Struijk; Roca, Adams;  Sinisterra, Aaronson, Harrison; Bamford

Key Players

Brentford - Mathias Jensen

When previewing a game involving Brentford, it is probably almost everyone's first instinct to point to their striker Ivan Toney as the player to look out for in the game, given his exemplary scoring record for the Bees.

There is no doubting that the Englishman is a huge talent for Thomas Frank's team, but a player who somewhat slips under the radar is Danish midfielder Mathias Jensen, who keeps things ticking too.

He has 0.75 goals or assists per 90 minutes this season - just 0.05 behind Toney - which, considering he is a central midfielder at heart, is a pretty impressive statistic, and makes him a pivotal player for Brentford.

Leeds - Jack Harrison

Had this section been written just a few days ago, it is almost a certainty that the player chosen would have been Rodrigo, who is the side's leading scorer with four goals - the second highest having just one.

As it is though, the striker will now absent for up to a month's time, meaning someone else needs to step in, and while he may not provide as many goals, Jack Harrison does have the potential to create plenty of chances.

He has three assists to his name in just five games, and with Patrick Bamford returning to the side, he should still have a target man to finish off the opportunities he carves out too.
