Aston Villa in the past twenty-four hours have announced that they've completed the signing of Scott Sinclair on a permanent transfer move from Manchester City. The fee is believed to be in the region of £3.5million pounds, for the 26-year-old English forward, who has impressed on his loan spell this season.

The former Swansea man joined the Villains in a January loan move, and has now signed a four-year contract after Tim Sherwood's men secured Premier League survival this season after a lacklustre start to proceedings last year. Sinclair struggled for first-team minutes with the Citzens following a move from the Swans in August of 2012, but has impressed in the dark red and blue of Villa - scoring three goals and creating chances galore since his loan switch.

On Aston Villa's official website, Sinclair said: "I am so happy. We've had a fantastic end to the current season and now I am already looking forward to the new season starting. It's also great for me and the family to be settled now. For every footballer, it's important to have that stability. I believe that will help me perform better and push on for this great club in the coming years. It's so much different than when you're on loan and going here, there and everywhere. It was important for the family to have that stability and I'm thrilled it's with a club like Villa.

He continued: "This is the happiest I have been in a long time. Now it's about kicking on with my career in claret and blue. I have already loved every minute of playing for this club. To be a permanent Villa player now is a fantastic feeling.
