Celtic have completed the signing of Feyenoord striker, Colin Kazim-Richards, on a two and a half year deal.

The English born Turkish international joined The Bhoys late on in transfer deadline day after spending a couple of days in Glasgow for talks.

The 29-year-old attacker played 35 league games for the Dutch giants in two years, scoring 11 goals.

Celtic chief executive, Peter Lawwell, said: "Ronny Deila feels Kazim-Richards' experience and leadership will greatly benefit the team."

How has he fared at previous clubs

The Celts' new man had been phased out at his old club for threatening a journalist. This has restricted his playing time this season as he has only played 11 times, scoring once.

Kazim-Richards' last appearence for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie came on 20th December last year in a 3-1 away loss to NEC Nijmegen.

The attacker's former clubs include Fenerbahce, Bursaspor, Galatasary and Blackburn Rovers and now he has Celtic to add to the names of world famous clubs he has played for.

After signing on the dotted line, Kazim-Richards posed with his new shirt and will wear the number 13 for the Parkhead club.

Celtic have busy deadline day

This signing was Celtic's second of the transfer deadline day after signing Manchester City youth winger, Patrick Roberts, on an 18 month loan deal. Also signed this window by The Hoops was Midtjylland centre-back, Erik Sviatchenko.

Other deadline day moves for Celtic includes two youth players going out on-loan to Scottish clubs. Jack Breslin joins Annan Athletic in the Scottish lower leagues while promising attacking midfielder, Aidan Nesbitt will join Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership.

Nesbitt was on-target twice in a development match as he scored two of the three goals Celtic beat Rangers by at the Lennoxtown training complex, sending The Hoops back to first place.

Also playing in that game was Paul McMullan who returned from his loan at St Mirren.
