In the middle of a Scudetto chase, Juventus have come out and named their two summer transfer targets.

The club from Turin didn’t make any immediate changes to their squad in the past transfer window but have instead made moves which would benefit them next season setting many deals up for summer time. In the middle of the window the club announced the capture of Rolando Mandragora from Genoa but allowed his loan at Pescara to continue until season end.

The Targets

Juventus has eyed two players who reportedly will cost anywhere from €15-€30 million each. Tuttosport have Andre Gomes and Bernardo Silva, who has previously been linked with a move to the Juventus stadium as the men the bianconeri want.

Andre Gomes, 22, is a Portuguese central midfielder who plays for Valencia in La Liga. In 21 appearances this season he has tallied two goals along with four assists.

The 21-year-old Portuguese winger Bernardo Silva is a product of Benfica’s youth system and is currently playing in Ligue 1 for Monaco. This season in 33 appearances for Monaco, Silva has tallied four goals and three assists.

Each player comparable

These two players have been widely compared to others around their age.

According to www.transfermarkt.com, Gomes is considered similar to Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic and Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto.

Silva is considered to be similar to players such as Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi along with Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi.

It is worth mentioning that both players are considered to be in the same range of value on the transfer market, which is said to be in the €15-€30 million.

Juventus’ Transfer Focus

Over the past few seasons it has been obvious that the Bianconeri have targeted younger players who are on the rise instead of ones in their prime. It has worked quite well for them as they have signed three of their top players at young ages for example: Paul Pogba, Alvaro Morata and most recently Paulo Dybala

A failed attempt for now Sassuolo man Stefano Sensi spurred the club on to ready themselves for moves for fellow players setting Serie B alight in Simone Ganz of Como and Ante Budimir of Crotone amongst others in the summer.

Sky Sport Italia had reported on deadline day that a deal was struck between Como and Juventus with 22-year-old Ganz set to spend the remainder of the season on loan in the second flight but the move fell through. However, it can be assumed that Juventus will go back in for the midfielder in the summer.
