Full Time: Newcastle 1-3 Tottenham

A double from Kane and one from Son sees Spurs move inches closer to Europa League qualification and it is a great three points for them.

95' Lloris collides with Aurier and drops the ball after rushing out to collect before Saint-Maximin who now is on the ground himself in some agony.

Lloris does pick the ball up uncontested but this could be another big blow for Newcastle.

94' BT Sport have given man of the match to Kane for his two goals, but today I think one Spurs player that shone was Harry Winks. He is man of the match for me after a commanding midfield display and he was influential in starting most counter-attacks.

93' Schar is now in agony with a shoulder injury. This is a blow for Newcastle as they are desperately running out of defenders and Schar looks in trouble here.

91' SUB: Kane is off for Vertonghen

The striker seems okay, so maybe this substitution is just a precaution.

It is a classic counter-attack from Spurs as Lamela is threaded through and he begins to tie knots in the Newcastle defence before shooting - Dubravka makes the save but Kane is there to head the ball for an easy tap in.

Matchday programme

Tonight's matchday programme features Newcastle and Scotland star Matt Ritchie.

The versatile left-sided player has played as a left-wing back the majority of this season, but tonight starts in a more advanced position.

Spurs arrive

It's a long journey from London to Newcastle, although in today's age it's more than likely the Spurs side got a plane to Tyneside.

With three games left, every game is critical for Spurs' push for European qualification.

Sending Love to Serge Aurier

Huge respect for Serge Aurier tonight starting after the tragic death of his brother in Toulouse on Monday.

It takes a lot of courage to step out onto the pitch to fight for your team after such a tragedy.

Both Serge Aurier and Allan Saint-Maximin will start tonight for their respective clubs after doubts they would feature, and DeAndre Yedlin and Nabil Bentaleb both start for Newcastle up against their former club, while Moussa Sissoko also lines up against his former club but this time in Spurs colours.

Team News

Newcastle currently have a total of 8 players on the treatment table - Andy Carroll, Ciaran Clark, Isaac Hayden,  Jamaal Lascelles, Florian Lejeune, Sean Longstaff, Danny Rose and Allan Saint-Maximin all doubts for the game.

Tottenham are without Juan Foyth, Eric Dier and Tanguy Ndombele, with Dier banned and Foyth and Ndombele injured.

Serge Aurier may be unavailable after his brother was tragically shot and killed in Toulouse on Monday, so it is likely that Japhet Tanganga will take his place.

What's at stake?

Newcastle are not at risk of relegation, nor are they fighting for European qualification.

One thing the Toon players and management too are fighting for though is their spots at the club post takeover - with big name players and even coaches linked with roles at Tyneside.

Tottenham are still fighting for European qualification, and could move into the Europa League spots with a win tonight.
