It was a big night in Lexington, as Kentucky dominated Auburn, Coach Calipari got his 100th win in Rupp Arena and Tony Delk had his jersey retired.

Led by Karl Anthony-Towns, who scored 19 points, the Wildcats had six players in double figures. Hitting the century mark with several minutes left in the game, UK finalized tonights contest 110-75.

The win tonight extended the Cats record to 27-0 and 14-0 in the SEC. Adding to the best start in Kentucky history, UK posted the highest point total by any SEC team this season in the route of Auburn.

After Kentucky won the tip, it showed the true prowess of the undefeated, #1 team in the nation. It took the Tigers over 8 minutes to see the ball go through the hoop on a field goal. During that long stretch of lock down defense, the Cats showed as much more refined offense, hitting on all cylinders from all areas of the court.

Auburn (12-15, 4-10 SEC), had a surge of offense to end the first half, but it looked like the game was all but over already as UK led 52-26 going into the locker rooms.

In the second half, the Tigers showed that they had some fight left in them as they followed the lead of A. Mason, who led all scores with 29 points.

Antoine Mason, the son of long time NBA player Anthony Mason, was questionable for the game due to the illness of his father. Bruce Pearl was happy he could make it, as he showed off his fluid offensive game.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, there weren’t too many bright spots other than outstanding play from Mason. They allowed Kentucky to shoot 64.7% from the field and lost the rebounding battle 44-22.

For the Wildcats, Dakari Johnson had 13 points, Andrew Harrison 12, Devin Booker 11 and Tyler Ulis had 10.

Kentucky seems to be an unstoppable force at the moment. Behind the highlight reel, Cauley-Stein, and superb backcourt play, it looks like it would take a near perfect game for any team left on UK’s schedule to have a chance at blemishing the Cats.
