No. 16 Oklahoma looked to stay undefeated in conference at home against the Kansas State Wildcats.

The Sooners  won their first two games against top 25 teams. The Sooners opened conference play with a win against Baylor, then backed it up with an impressive road win against the Texas Longhorns.

Kansas State has been inconsistent so far in 2014-15, despite having talent on their roster. The Wildcats ended a three-game losing streak, which included a loss to Texas Southern, by defeating TCU 58-53.

It was a one-man show for the Sooners in a close first half. Everyone except Buddy Hield struggled to find any offensive rhythm in the first twenty minutes. Hield scored 20 points on 6 of 11 shooting, while the rest of the team shot just 3 of 16 for 11 points.

Kansas State was extremely efficient in the first half on offense as well as being balanced. No player had more than six points for the Wildacts during the opening 20 minutes. They finished at just over 53 percent from the field.

Kansas State got off to a strong start to the second half. They quickly extended their lead to 8 at 44-36, while Oklahoma continued to struggle offensively. A TaShawn Thomas basket would suddenly spark the struggling offense, leading to a 10-1 run and the 46-45 advantage.

With under a minute to play the Sooners held a 55-51 lead and looked to be in a good situation, except from the eyes of Kansas State guard Marcus Foster. Foster would score four points in the final 50 seconds, including a shot with eight seconds left on the clock, to send the game to overtime.

Late in overtime, Hield would score to tie the game up at 63, but once again Foster had an answer with a game-winning three-pointer with three seconds remaining in the game. The Kansas State Wildcats pulled off the upset over Oklahoma with a 66-63 victory.

Hield led the way for the Sooners with one of the best games of his career. He finished with a game-high 31 points on 11 of 20 shooting. The only other play in double figurs was Thomas with 14. As a team, Oklahoma shot 40.3 percent from the field (23 of 57).

Foster, despite not lead the team in scoring, led the team when it mattered most. Seven of his 14 points came in the final minute of regulation or overtime. Kansas State shot 45 percent for the game.

Oklahoma (12-4, 2-1) has only three days to bounce back from the loss. The Sooners are back on the road against a tough West Virginia team on Tuesday night.

Kansas State (9-7, 1-2) will try to use this win to boost their momentum going forward. They will take play Texas Tech on Wednesday back in their home gym, Bramlage Coliseum.
