The FIA World Endurance Committee has confirmed that the privateer non-hybrid powered LMP1 entries will benefit from a performance increase for the upcoming Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas.

Fuel capacity, petrol flow and petrol energy adjustments for the Rebellion R-One and ByKolles CLM P1/01 prototypes will go into effect for the weekend at COTA only, following last month's Six Hours of Nürburgring that saw even the fastest non-hybrid LMP1 more than five seconds off the pace of the leading Porsche 919 Hybrids and Audi R18 e-tron quattros.

The Equivalence of Technology updates for the weekend at COTA include an increase in both petrol flow (101.4 to 106.5 kg/h) and petrol energy (70.6 to 91.8 MJ/lap) as well as in fuel capacity (67.4 to 75 liters), all changing from the numbers originally released for the round in Texas back in late July.

These changes will be in effect for the weekend at the 3.427-mile, purpose-built Grand Prix circuit in Austin, Texas.
