Josh McSwain:

“Datsyuk is older and injury prone, but the skill set he has across the board is simply undeniable. He plays well on the offensive end, great on the defensive end, kills penalties, does it all. His best years may be behind him, but he has been good in recent years with 67 points in 70 games in 2011-2012. He’s averaging a point per game so far in 2014-2015 (as of Jan. 5), and if he can stay healthy he can be great this season.”

Max O'Neil:

“Patrice Bergeron is the Assistant captain of the Boston Bruins. Bergeron makes it to number 9 on my list with a Selke win last season. The Selke trophy goes to the forward who is the best defensively. In 2010 he helped the Bruins win their first Stanley Cup since 1971-72. Last season Bergeron scored 30 goals and had 32 assists. He was an all star last season as well as coming in 13th in the voting for the Byng trophy and coming in 5th in voting for the Hart trophy. This season Patrice Bergeron has 6 goals and 17 assists. In the playoffs since the Stanley cup win, Patrice Bergeron has scored 12 goals and 14 assists including the season after the Cup win, only getting 2 assists in the playoffs.”
