Thank you for joining me today. Have a great rest of your day.

That will do it here in Seattle. Be on the lookout for the recap here shortly.

20,190 in Seattle for this game.

MISS!!! Haiti just missed tying the game.

Dangerous moment for Haiti. Peru needs to be careful not to concede.

Haiti pushing and looking for the game-tying goal. Placide at the halfway line. Free kick coming here for Haiti.

Peru plays the corner short, but nothing comes of it in the end.

Four minutes of stoppage time here.

90' - Peru Sub: Flores out, da Silva in

89' - Peru with another solid chance here, but can't convert.

87' - Peru almost makes it 2-0, but Haiti lucky to keep it out of the back of the net.

Peru trying to milk this game away.

82' - Peru Sub: Hohberg off, Polo on

80' - Fans booing as another Peru player is down. This time it is Vilchez.

78' - Ball back in play here.

77' - Peru's goalkeeper, Pedro Gallese, is being tended to by the training staff. Not sure what happened there.

75' - Peru Sub: Cueva off, Yotun on

70' - Haiti SUB: Nazon off, Belfort

Not sure how much Haiti has left in them here.

66' - Peru looking for a second goal here. One more will all but put this game away for them.

Curious now to see what Haiti does. Do they push for that tying goal or look to keep it at just one goal against?

The ball was sent in by Flores and he found the head of a diving Guerrero to give Peru a 1-0 lead.

Beautiful pass by the 20-year-old.

61' - GOAL! Peru. Paolo Guerrero!!!!!!

58' - Hohberg sends the ball in. Ball falls to the feet of Revoredo, but his shot deflects off the backside of Placide as he was making the save. Danger avert by Haiti.

58' - Peru earns a corner.

55' - Tapia takes down Louis as Haiti was breaking towards Peru's goal. No card was given. Tapia claimed to get all ball.

55' - Guerrero down on the field after being taken down from behind by Alexandre.

54' - Long ball sent from the midfield for Paolo Guerrero, but the 'keeper beats him to it.

50 ' - Alexandre of Haiti. receives a yellow for stopping an attack.

49' - It appears Peru is playing a little more defensive in this half compared to the first half. I know it is only four minutes in, but it shows that Haiti has made them rethink their strategy.

48' - Haiti with a corner here.

46' - And we are back underway here in Seattle. Peru gets us started here.

Peru had 55% of the possession in the first half. Haiti has one shot on target as well as Peru.

Players coming back out. We will be starting back up here in the next minute or so.

I didn't expect to see Haiti attack as much as they did in the first half. I am curious if they will come out in the second half doing the same thing or play for a draw.

We will be back for the second half here shortly.

Louis sends the ball in but nothing comes of it.

Haiti has a corner upcoming here right before the end of the first half. Louis will take.

One minute of stoppage.

45' - POST! Shot taken by Flores but he hit the post. He had Placide beaten. That would have been a huge momentum boost going into the half.

43' - Hohberg takes the corner and it is wasted.

42' - Hohberg sends a free kick into the box but it is headed out for a corner.

40 ' Haiti Sub: Hilaire off, Alexandre on

39' - Another golden chance wasted by Peru. Cueva sends a ball across the mouth of the goal for Guerrero. However, Paolo wastes his chance.

37' - Tapia takes a shot for Peru and it is just wide of the net.

35' - What is hurting Peru is that final pass in the final third.

34' - After Peru controlled much of the first 20 minutes, Haiti has taken a little bit more of the game the last 15 minutes or so.

31' - Mechack takes the free kick for Haiti and ball goes just over the crossbar.

30' - Alberto Rodriguez of Peru was given a yellow

28' - Guerrier fouled a few yards outside of the box. Then a brief scrum happens between the players.

25' - We have our first corner of the game coming here. Louis will take for Haiti. The Ball is sent in and he finds some players, but nobody can get enough power on the ball.

23' - Cueva losses a great chance there for Peru. He had players to the left and right of him and he decided to pass to his right and Haiti intercepts the ball. If he passed left, the player would have been 1v1 on goal.

22' - Haiti is not backing down from Peru, not that they should. They are trying to show that they can hang with the big dogs.

20' -  Twenty minutes are gone here in Seattle and we are tied 0-0. Peru has been the better team so far, but Haiti has shown glimpses that they could be dangerous.

17' -  A beautiful curling ball sent towards the back post, but nobody was able to get on the end of it for Haiti.

16' - Haiti wins a free kick deep in the final third. Tapia concedes the foul.

15' - Cross sent in by Jaggy, but nobody from Haiti was near the box.

13' - Nazon makes a run towards Peru's 18-yard box, but in the end nothing comes of it.

13' - Haiti makes their first foray into the attacking third, but Peru snuffs it out.

12' - some mighty fine footwork from the Peru players here. They are very skilled with the ball at their feet.

9' - Nazon called for a foul after he pushed down the Peru defender.

7'- Hohberg with the best chance of the game. Ball played to him at the spot, but he can't make anything of it.

Good ball movement here from Peru.

5' - Placide comes out and collects the cross from Cueva.

4' - After a bad goal kick from Placide that goes right to a Peru player, he makes a safe.

First three minutes have been all Peru as expected.

We are off here in Seattle.

There are a lot more Peruvian fans here than Haitian, a lot.

National anthems are done, players shaking hands and coin toss will be next.

Players are on their way out of the tunnel.

Subs for both teams coming back onto the field. It shouldn't me too much longer now.

It looks like kickoff is scheduled for right around 4:35 PM PT.

Paraguay and Costa Rica finish 0-0 in Orlando. That leaves the U.S. at the bottom of the table with zero points.

A very sparse crowd here so far in Seattle.

Peru has entered the field for warmups.

For those of you that may be interested in Group A action, Paraguay and Costa Rica are tied 0-0 in the 83rd minute.

Haiti has entered the field to warm up.

Here is Peru's starting XI: Gallese; Revoredo, Ramos, Rodriguez, Trauco; Tapia, Vilchez, Gueva, Hohberg; Guerrero, Flores

Here is Haiti's starting XI (4-3-3): Placide; Mechack, Jaggy, Denevois, Goreux; LaFrance, Marcelin; Hilaire; Guerrier, Nazon, Louis

The lineups are in. Standby by for who will be in the starting XI.

As soon as the lineups are announced, I will post them. Stay tuned for more updated from Seattle.

For those of you wondering, grass has been laid on top of the artificial surface here at CenturyLink Field in downtown Seattle.

We are just under 90 minutes from kickoff here in Seattle for Haiti - Peru. It is an absolutely beautiful day here and temps are already in the low 80's.

We'll have more news on the national teams shortly. Any late breaking news will be added as soon as we hear of it. Make sure to follow VAVEL USA and @CopaVAVEL on Twitter to keep up to date with what's new in the Copa America.

The referee for this match will be John Pitti (PAN). His two assistant referees will be Gabriel Victoria (PAN) and Christian Christian Ramirez (HON). The fourth official will be Armando Villarreal (USA). The reserve assistant will be Hiran Dopico (CUB).

Head coach Patrice Neveu will be content to sit back on defense and try to limit Peru’s opportunities on Saturday. Neveu will be happy to sit back and play for a draw in this one. If Haiti falls behind, Neveu will be forced to push his team forward to look for the tying goal.

Haiti will more than likely sit back and absorb any pressure that Peru gives them. Expect Peru to dominate possession and for Haiti to look for openings to hit Peru on the counter. Johnny Placide, Haiti’s goalkeeper, will need to have the game of his life if he wants to keep the Haitians in this game. At 28-years-old, Placide has just 27 caps to his name but has shown that he is a capable goalkeeper. In his last five international matches (not counting friendlies), he has kept two clean sheets and has only allowed three goals in those five games.

Paolo Guerrero, Peru’s all-time leading scorer, will be the man to watch in this game. He leads Peru with 26 goals in 67 international caps. Guerrero was the top scorer last summer in the Copa America 2015 Chile with four goals. He also led the Copa America 2011 Argentina with five goals. Expect to see Guerrero score some goals in this tournament and possibly a few in this game against Haiti.

Peru head coach Ricardo Gareca built his 23-man Copa America Centenario squad on youth, rather than veteran experience. He left Juan Manuel Vargas, Jefferson Farfán and Claudio Pizarro off the 23-man rosters. He decided to bring in Edison Flores and Luis Abram to replace these veterans.

Peru enters this match with a record of 2-2-1 in their last five games. Their last two wins came against Trinidad & Tobago, 4-0, and El Salvador, 3-1 in their two tune-up matches for Copa America Centenario. In games that actually matter, Peru is 1-4-1 in their last six CONEMBOL World Cup qualifying matches, being outscored 12-6. Haiti is the perfect team to get them back on their feet before they have to face tough opposition in Brazil and Ecuador.

In Haiti’s last time on the pitch, they faced Colombia in a Copa America Centenario tune-up match. They lost to the South American team 3-1. That goal they scored, in the 35th minute by Wilde-Donald Guerrier, was their first goal since they scored three in a 3-1 victory over El Salvador on October 9, 2015, in an international friendly. If you are coming to this game to see Haiti score, don’t count on it.

Haiti enters this match against Peru with a record of 0-4-1 in their last five matches. That includes four CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches. During those four matches, they have been outscored 3-0. They have a great defense but fail to really generate any solid scoring chances.

These two teams are facing each other for just the fifth time. Four of the five matches have been international friendlies. The other was during the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Overall, Peru holds a 2-0-2 (W-L-T) record against Haiti, outscoring them 10-4 in those five games.

The other two matches that will be played on Saturday are Costa Rica and Paraguay. This Central and South American match-up will kick off the day with their match being held at Camp World Stadium in OrlandoFlorida at 5 PM Eastern Time. That match will close out group A. The second game will close out group B, Brazil will take on Ecuador at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California at 10 PM ET.

These two countries will be facing each other on the second day of the Copa America. The host nation, the United States, and Colombia will kick off the tournament on Friday at Levi's Stadium in Santa ClaraCalifornia. As for Haiti and Peru, they will not be the only match that will take place on Saturday. Two other games will be held on Saturday, by the end of the night group A and B will be done for round one of the group stages.
