That's it! Los Angeles Galaxy win 4-2 over Orlando City!

90 +2' GOAL Orlando! Brek Shea gets a consolation goal!

Two minutes of added time left in the match.

83' Landon Donovan comes on for Raul Mendiola. He's here at last.

70' GOAL LA GALAXY!!!! Giovani dos Santos ran onto a through ball and with Bendik coming off his line, he passed the ball to Keane. Keane took an extra couple of touches before firing into an empty net.

61' Ashley Cole's attempt floats wide and to the right of the target.

60' Robbie Keane is coming on for Alan Gordon.

60' Free kick for Los Angeles in a dangerous area.

46' And we are back!

Halftime! The Los Angeles Galaxy lead 3-1!

Two minutes of stoppage.

45' GOAL LA!!!! Giovani dos Santos sends Joe Bendik the wrong way and it's 3-1!

44' PENALTY LA!!! Alan Gordon wins it with a foul just inside the area! Although on replay it looks like it is a bit outside the box...

41' Van Damme nearly has LA's third goal of the half but it misses the target, but not by much.

38' GOAL LA GALAXY!!!!! Orlando couldn't clear the ball off of a corner and Jelle Van Damme played a cross in towards the penalty box. Alan Gordon smashed home the delivery.

35' GOAL LA GALAXY!!!!!! Jelle Van Damme sprung Emmanuel Boateng down the left flank. With his speed, he got into open space and played a perfect cross to Giovani dos Santos. Dos Santos then tapped the ball into the empty net.

30' The visitors still lead this match 1-0 thanks to that Molino goal nine minutes ago.

21' GOAL ORLANDO CITY!!!!!! Kevin Molino pounces on the Jelle Van Damme block and it's 1-0 to the visitors!

18' Possession is continuing to be recycled for the Galaxy. They will move the ball around the back four looking for any kind of opening. If one way is closed down, the Galaxy will switch the play.

11' Alan Gordon had space in the six yard box but he scuffed his attempt as he was being pressured from behind as the ball skipped inches wide of the right post.

10' Big chance for the Galaxy as Boateng's cross is cleared away at the last second by an OCSC defender.

1' And we are off!

While he does not make the starting XI, Landon Donovan is in fact on the bench. Will he see the pitch at all? Probably on if absolutely necessary.

Lineups are out!

These two clubs have only met once before in their history. Last year in Orlando, OCSC put a smack down on the Los Angeles Galaxy, winning 4-0, and claiming their first win at home as a Major League Soccer team too. Eric Avila scored in the 12th minute while Cyle Larin doubled the hosts lead 24 minutes later. Two more goals, both coming in the second half, secured all three points.

Orlando City SC, on the other hand, got an emphatic road win against the Montreal Impact on Wednesday night, winning 1-4. The night didn’t start well for the visitors, however, with Didier Drogba finding the back of the net in just the second minute of the match. But then, the men in purple rattled off four unanswered goals to secure a big victory. The equalizing goal came merely two minutes later after Brek Shea scored. Kaká scored the second and third goal, the third coming from the spot, before Carlos Rivas rounded off a stunning performance in the 77th minute.

Tonight's visitors have gone through a bit of a change themselves this season. Midway through this season, they let go of long time manager Adrian Heath. And four matches later, they hired former New York City FC manager Jason Kreis. Kreis, also a former manager of Real Salt Lake, has coached Orlando City for four matches thus far. During his tenure to date, he has won one match, tied another, and lost twice.

The last match for the Los Angeles Galaxy, coming on the road against Real Salt Lake, ended in a 3-3 tie on Wednesday night. Los Angeles took an early lead, scoring off of an Emmanuel Boateng goal in just the sixth minute of the match. There were not many chances between either side after that until the second half. Brian Rowe gave a penalty nine minutes into the second half and Real Salt Lake equalized. That lead didn't last long, however, as Giovani dos Santos completed a brace in only seven minutes. Real Salt Lake, however, managed a comeback aided by another Brian Rowe gaffe with 30 seconds to go in added time. Even though the Galaxy managed to get a road point, the match still would have felt like a loss.

With the Galaxy littered with injuries, most notably being Gyasi Zardes’ broken foot which is keep him out for the rest of the season, Donovan decided that he needed to help his former club in someway. It is unclear when exactly Donovan will step onto the pitch again, or even how much he will play for the rest of the season. But there are rumors swirling around from various media outlets which say that he could start this match against Orlando City SC. Having the six-time MLS Cup champion around is going to be a huge boost for everyone in that locker room -- especially the younger guys.

Big news broke days before today’s match for the home side. Major League Soccer veteran, and Los Angeles Galaxy legend, Landon Donovan is coming out of retirement to continue playing soccer.
