They are looking to have a good tournament

Hector Altamirano and his players are looking for this match to give a better exhibition than the previous one; although they gave more than what the fans had expected, in the end the players gave a very bad performance in their last match; a situation that Altamirano is looking to reverse with the new incorporations.

A rain of new signings

Queretaro's squad had a large number of additions for the Apertura 2021, although it is not yet clear if they have closed the deal. The market opened with the arrival of Uruguayans Washington Aguerre and Bryan Olivera, goalkeeper and attacking midfielder. Ronaldo González, Guillermo Madrigal, Damián Torres, Manuel Viniegra and Pablo Gómez were other additions for the upcoming tournament.

The return of two of Altamirano's canteranos, Betsiel Hernández and Ricardo Díaz, full-back and goalkeeper, who were also coached by Altamirano in the Basic Forces years ago, was noteworthy. Pablo Barrera and David Cabrera, former Pumas players who played together with the Auriazules, also joined the Querétaro squad. Kevin Balanta, Osvaldo Rodríguez, Nico Sosa and Maxi Perg also joined the team.

Unsuccessful signing!

One of the most talked about signings, due to the player's hierarchy, was the arrival of Nico Sánchez to the team, after leaving Rayados de Monterrey. The central defender ended up rescinding his contract after medical tests revealed a knee injury that would require rest and dedication.

Many changes!

The team coached by Altamirano, arrives to this match after a very busy preseason. With the departures of Hugo Silveira, Gonzalo Montes, Martín Rea, Francisco Da Costa, José Gurrola, Javier Ibarra, which led the Albiazules at the beginning of the market.

There were also heavy departures, especially of the coach's most trusted players, where Gil Alcalá, the starting goalkeeper, Ángel Sepúlveda and Fernando Madrigal left the Querétaro team, creating a lot of noise among the fans.
