This is how Jamaica arrives

Jamaica achieved their first qualifying win when they beat Honduras 2-0 on the road last month. The goals came from Rangers forward Kemar Roofe and LA Galaxy midfielder Oniel Fisher as the Reggae Boyz ended an eight-game losing streak in all competitions.

Coach Theodore Whitmore, who is coaching Jamaica for the fourth time since 2016, will look to build on two goals scored last Matchday, having failed to find the net in five of his previous seven games in all competitions.

Jamaica's only FIFA World Cup appearance was in 1998, and although it has lost many games to next year's tournament in Qatar, it remains in contention for a top four finish. However, the victory of this match could be crucial, as in the next matches they will face the United States, Mexico and Panama.

This is how El Salvador arrives

El Salvador is fighting in seventh place in the World Cup qualifier, just three points behind Panama who is fourth, so there is still hope heading to Qatar 2022.

Their first victory in the qualifying round was 1-0 against Panama last month, followed by two losses to Costa Rica and Mexico, and in both games they were left with 10 men after receiving expulsions. Therefore, discipline will have to improve for Hugo Pérez's team if they want to have a chance to secure the three points. However, with eight games to play, there is still a long way to go for La Selecta to change their fortunes.

El Salvador last qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 1982, and they come to this game after winning just one of their last 11 matches against Jamaica, a 2-0 victory in the CONCACAF Nations League in March 2019. Victory that is part of a three-game unbeaten streak against the Reggae Boyz and they hope to extend this record with another positive result in Cuscatlán.

The match will be played at Estadio Cuscatlán

The Estadio Cuscatlán is a soccer stadium located in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. It was inaugurated in 1976 and can hold 44,836 spectators, making it the stadium with the largest capacity for fans in Central America and the Caribbean.

The stadium has undergone constant renovations over time, the most recent being in 2020, with the installation of a new 100 m² 4K LED screen and 54 new 1,500 watt metal halide fixtures and an automated irrigation system.
