That's all for now

I've been Alec Whitaker and it's been a pleasure to bring to you all of tonight's action.

Stay tuned for the match report and warm down of tonight's match.

Post-match analysis

Norwich defended admirably in extra time after Timm Klose was dismissed towards the end of normal time.  They'll feel as if they defended well enough to take the match to a penalty shoot-out. Krul had a standout performance and showed why he is a brilliant shot-stopper.

United got the job done in the end but they were made to work for their victory. In the first half, they weren't convincing in the final third, but that soon changed in the second half when they picked up the intensity of their passing. Fernandes continues to impress in a red shirt and with him in the side, The Reds always look like creating chances.

FT: Norwich 1-2 Manchester United

Maguire's late winner in second-half added time of extra time is enough for Manchester United to book their place in the semi-final.

They are now 14 games unbeaten in all competitions

Ole's at the wheel...

118' Norwich 1-2 Manchester United

The pressure has told and it's heartache for Norwich!

The ball drops to MAGUIRE in the box and he slides the ball into the net to surely send his team through to the FA Cup Semi-Final.

9 minutes remain to find a breakthrough...

Fernandes goes into the book for hauling down Hernandes.

A promising crossing position for The Canaries...but Romero gathers comfortably.

107' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

The ball keeps coming back at Norwich. Aarons does brilliantly to block Rashford's shot, before Fernandes blazes over.

105' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Half-time at the end of extra time.

Norwich are defending resiliently and are halfway to a penalty shoot-out.

104' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Pogba shoots from distance and with the ball moving, Krul fumbles and then gathers the ball at the second attempt.

100' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Solskjaer uses his sixth and final substitution, as Bailly is replaced for Anthony Martial.

This has to be the first time a manager has ever made 6 subs

94' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Rashford forces Krul to tip his shot over the bar.

Norwich are defending very deep...

91' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

On the balance of play, Norwich deserve to take this tie to extra-time.

However, I imagine it'll be attack vs defence for the next 30 minutes.

Duda is introduced for Buendia.

90+6 Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

CLOSE: United nearly nick it at the death, but Krul makes two smart saves to deny Pogba and then Greenwood.

The tie goes into extra-time.

90+2 Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

United are knocking on the door. Pogba plays a one-two, but is well crowded out.

90' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

6 minutes added time. Cantwell is off and Tryball is on. Backs against the wall now for Norwich.

89' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Timm Klose is dismissed for upending Ighalo, as he was clear through on goal.

Brilliant work from Fernandes for creating the opportunity.

85' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

End-to-end now and this game is here for the taking.

Neither side will want extra-time wit both sides playing on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

84' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

CLOSE: Buendia catches his shot well but his effort is just wide.

Norwich are the team looking more likely to find the winner at this moment in time!

82' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Romero does brilliantly to punch away Godfrey's cross into Drmic's path.

Chances at both ends...

80' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

CHANCE: Greenwood creates a yard of space and shoots with his weaker left foot on the angle, but the ball drifted narrowly wide.

It looked as if the net was going to bulge.

This game has come to life!

10 minutes remaining at Carrow Road...

77' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Solskjaer uses his two remaining substitutes in normal time.

75' Norwich 1-1 Manchester United

Cantwell's swerving shot from almost 30 yards nestles in the bottom corner.

71' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

Switzerland international Drmic is introduced for Pukki.

The player's are now having their second-half water break.

70' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

CHANCE: How has that not gone in?!

Buendia's free-kick looks destined to nestle in the corner of Romero's net, but Godfrey appears to head the ball out of his own net, how unfortunate!

69' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

Fred blocks Cantwell's shot from 25 yards. Norwich have responded well since going 1-0 down.

63' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

Daniel Farke also makes a substitution. He introduces Hernandez for Rupp.

63' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

TRIPLE Change for The Red Devils

57' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

Lingard displays his dancing footwork and digs out an inviting looking cross, but there's nobody attacking it in the box.

55' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

Norwich are on the back foot, as United nearly double their lead. Lingard's shot is blocked, the ball almost falls to Ighalo, but Krul is able to gather.

51' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

Ighalo improvises and pokes home from close-range after Shaw's cross eventually found its way into his path.

51' Norwich 0-1 Manchester United

47' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Much more intensity from both sides at the start of this second half. Down the other end, Cantwell plays a nice one-two with Rupp but sees his cross cleared behind for a corner.

46' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

A bright start to the second half by the visitors. Fred plays a delicate lofted pass through to Fernandes. However, he's unable to hook the pass towards goal with his weak foot.

46' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

The visitors get the second half action underway at Carrow Road.

Despite a lacklustre first-half, Solskjaer has decided to show faith in his starting XI by making no changes.

Norwich also remain unchanged.

Half-Time: Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

This hasn't been the most scintillating of halves and it's hardly been an FA Cup classic.

Norwich have had the better chances and with a bit more belief in the final third, they could have found themselves ahead.

United simply haven't been at the races and it won't be long before Solskjaer looks to his bench.

All to play for in the second half as the possibility of extra-time looms.

45+1' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Jesse Lingard finesse's over the bar after finding himself with some shooting space on the edge of the box.

45' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

CHANCE: Cantwell creates the best chance of the game as he cuts inside, before playing a pass into Rudd, allowing him to shoot, but Maguire charges down his powerful effort. That would almost certainly have been a goal.

39' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Solskjaer's side are yet to register a shot of notice on Krul's goal.

Daniel Farke will be by far the happier of the two managers.

32' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

A promising chance is presented to Norwich on the counter-attack. However, Cantwell over hit his pass to Pukki, which allowed Shaw to get back and defend the danger.

29' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Mata loses the ball in midfield allowing McLean to drive forward, but he fires his shot over the bar from 25 yards.

Down the other end, Bailly heads over from a corner.

28' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Chances have been few and far between so far. As things stand, this is hardly an FA Cup classic!

Both sides are evenly matched with United have the lion share of possession.

22' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

McTominay flicks the ball delicately behind Norwich's defence looking to find Ighalo, but Krul beats the striker to it and collects.

The play is now stopped, as the players take on fluid in this first-half drink break.

18' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Cantwell has started the game well and has put The Canaries into some promising positions in these opening 20 minutes.

He looks as if he'll be the one to create Norwich' best opening.

15' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Jamal Lewis and Todd Cantwell link up well down the left flank for the second time in the game, but the visitors deal with the danger. Neither goalkeeper has yet to be tested.

12' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Lingard dribbles his way past two defenders around the 18-yard box, showing lovely skill at his feet, but he's eventually crowded out and the ball is cleared to safety.

11' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

United are being allowed to control the ball and are the team still in the ascendancy.

No clear-cut chances for either side as yet.

07' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Bailly loses the ball to Cantwell, who plays a nice pass to Pukki inside the box, but United deal with the pressure & clear to safety.

05' Norwich 0-0 Manchester United

Manchester United have settled into their rhythm and are passing the ball around without any pressure.

From these early stages, Daniel Farke's game plan looks to sit deep and hit United on the break.

The match is underway. Norwich get the first-half underway kicking from right to left in their traditional yellow and green colours.

Both teams take part in a minutes applause and show their solidarity to the Black Lives Matter Campaign by taking the knee.

5 minutes until Kick-Off

The players are on their way out to the pitch, abiding by the appropriate Coronavirus guidelines.

We're almost ready to get underway at Carrow Road!

The man with the whistle

Experienced Premier League referee, Jonathan Moss takes control of tonight's game.

Kick-off now just 15 minutes away at Carrow Road, as Norwich feature in their first FA Cup Quarter Final since 1992.

Solskjaer on competitiveness (MUTV)

"That's the beauty with having players that are in form and fit.

"We don't have many injuries now, so we've got lots of options to choose from.

"I'm looking forward to the game."

Solskjaer Pre-Match Quotes (MUTV)

Solskjaer: "There is only one change from the last round against Derby.

"Harry (Maguire) was supposed to play that one, not Victor (Lindelolf), so it's the team that we thought we were going to play against Derby, but Harry felt ill.

"I thought they did very well against Derby, we've got a big strong squad and many games, so there's many reasons to give these lads another chance.

Teemu Pukki starts for The Canaries

Daniel Farke makes three changes from his side that were beaten by a goal-to-nil against Everton.

Into his starting XI come Buendia, Cantwell and top-goalscorer Pukki, whilst Drmic, Duda and Hernandez drop to the bench.

8 changes for The Red Devils

As expected, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes use of squad by making 8 changes from his side that beat Sheffield United  3-0 in the EPL.

Romero (GK), Dalot, Bailly, McTominay, Fred, Mata, Lingard & Ighalo are introduced.

Whilst De Gea, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Pogba, Matic, Greenwood, Rashford & Martial drop out of the starting XI.

Manchester United: Team News

Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are the only unavailable players for Solskjaer. He's set to make a few changes to the United team that beat Sheffield United comfortably in mid-week.

Sergio Romero is the club's Cup goalkeeper and will probably replace David de Gea. Odion Ighalo could come in up front, too.

Norwich City: team news

Josip Drmic could recover from ankle injury in time to be involved on Saturday evening. Grant Holt, Chtsoph Zimmermann and Sam Byram are all out for the long-term. Marco Stiepermann could play for the first time after being involved in a 'positive/negative' COVID-19 debacle. He was cleared.

Search for trophies for United

Manchester United must win trophies. They missed out on the EFL Cup after losing to rivals City in the semi-finals but still have their sights set on the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League.

The Cup would offer a bonus to the season, but United have to qualify for Champions League football as well.

Chance to save the season for Canaries

Norwich City will be relegated. They currently sit six points off safety so some small element of hope remains but it seems extraordinarily unlikely they will make a great escape. The FA Cup offers the chance at a bit of redemption, a chance of glory. Coming up against a relatively in-form United side makes that a difficult challenge, though. It's the first Cup quarter-final for Norwich since 1992. It's a big deal.

Kick-off time

The Norwich City vs Manchester United match will be played at Carrow Road, in Norwich, United Kingdom. The kick-off is scheduled at 17:30 BST.
