Final-Time:Liverpool FC 2-1 West Ham United

And that's it wrapped up!

After Pablo Fornals put the Hammers ahead, Mohammed Salah and Diogo Jota scored to get their team all three points.

Poor evening from David Moyes as yet again his substitute management proved costly.

GOAL: Liverpool FC 2-1 West Ham United

This time he got it. Diogo Jota with the goal.

A goal from Jota... NO!

Reckless challenge into Fabiański from Mane ruled the goal out.

It's still 1-1.

65' What a chance for Hammers!

Ball played to Fornals who shot it straight at the defender despite having Bowen clear and open next to him.

Apart from the goal, his decision making has been very, very poor.

50' Great cross from Masuaku, but Fornals took the ball away from Bowen's feet and his shot wasn't good enough to beat Alisson.

48' Jones' poor shot nearly fell for Firmino, but Fabiański managed to get to it before the Brazilian.

Half-Time: Liverpool FC 1-1 West Ham United

1-1, Fornals and Salah with the goals.

Good half from both sides, and a very bad one from referee Kevin Friend who's missed multiple foul calls on Tomas Soucek.

GOAL: Liverpool FC 1-1 West Ham United

Penalty for Liverpool won by Salah and scored by Salah himself.

A very soft decision from Kevin Friend as although Masuaku did catch the Egyptian, it shouldn't be enough to give a penalty.

West Ham were denied a free-kick for a more obvious challenge earlier in the game.

37' Chance for Liverpool, but Robertson drilled his volley over the bar.

West Ham still on top.

32' Chance again!

Liverpool's defence was caught by an early throw-in, Bowen's good run was found but his shot was straight at Alisson.

29' Nearly a chance for West Ham again!

Great hold-up from Haller released Fornals, but his pass towards Bowen was little off and Robertson managed to intercept.

25' Since Fornals' goal, the game has become much more open.

A couple of good crosses from Masuaku, but Liverpool has also managed to threaten Fabiański's goal.

Jordan Henderson has come the closest with a long-range strike after a scramble inside West Ham's box.

11' Well, ignore me.

Pablo Fornals puts the Hammer in front! A great cross from Arthur Masuaku which was cleared by Joe Gomez, but only as far as Fornals who put it past Alisson off the post!

10' Quiet game so far, and both on the pitch and in the stands.

Haller with a couple of good touches so far, Liverpool look very threatening with their very high press.

Talking team news

Interesting from Jurgen Klopp who decided to pick two fringe players, Curtis Jones and Nathaniel Phillips, to start against the Hammers with two youngsters, Rhys Williams and Nico Williams, taking their places on the substitutes bench.

Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara have are not in the matchday squad after their late fitness tests.

No shocks at West Ham as their only change came through Michail Antonio's injury, which made Sebastien Haller earn his first Premier League start of the season.

Said Benrahma is also in the matchday squad, for the first time since his loan move from Brentford on the deadline day.

Player to watch

After a bunch of key injuries for both sides, one player emerges to play a key role in the game.

With Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Michail Antonio injured, Sebastien Haller will finally get his chance this season, and we expect him to thrive in the current system played by David Moyes' West Ham.

Previous encounters

Head-to-head record looks very positive for Liverpool FC as since January 2016 they've only lost once against the Hammers - currently sitting on six wins out of the previous seven games.

The last time West Ham managed to take points off the Reds was in February 2019.

Current form

The hosts are coming into the game off a mid-week 2-0 win against FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Champions League.

The visitors, who have not lost in their previous four Premier League games, will look to keep their run going and break into the top half for good.
