Key player Mazatlan

Camilo Sanvezzo, forward| This Brazilian player is fundamental in the attack. With 13 goals in the Mazatleco club, Sanvezzo is the leader of the offense and with the duo with Aristeguieta could take advantage of the champion club's big absences to take away points.

Key Player Cruz Azul

Santiago Giménez, forward | This Argentinean player has earned the trust of the fans and Juan Reynoso, and now, with the absence of Jonathan Rodríguez, the responsibility of the offensive line is on his shoulders. His eye for goal and his speed could be key to hurting Mazatlán's defense.

Mazatlan: New coach in the dugout

The Cañoneros will have a new coach for this Grita Mexico A21 tournament. After the unnoticed passing of Tomás Boy, who failed to qualify for the playoffs in the last tournament, the Mazatleca board of directors decided to bring a new name to Aztec football and will do so with Spaniard Beñat San José.  In the Guard1anes 2020, the purple team finished in 13th place with 21 points and, due to goal difference, could not qualify for the playoffs. Their most recent match was in the preseason, when they won by the minimum score against Puebla.

Cruz Azul: The return of the champion

It took a little over two decades for Cruz Azul to lift the Liga MX trophy once again. Now, Juan Reynoso's pupils will debut their crown in the local tournament where they will have considerable absences that could weigh them down on the pitch, starting with two important men such as Jesús Corona who is injured and Jonathan Rodríguez who extended his vacation. La Máquina comes from winning the Campeón de Campeones tournament against León with a brace by Cabecita last July 18 at the Dignity Health Sports Park Stadium in the city of Los Angeles.
