The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired Austin Rivers from the Boston Celtics in a three-team deal involving the Phoenix Suns. As part of the deal, the Clippers send Reggie Bullock to the Suns and Chris Douglas-Roberts to Boston, while Phoenix sends Shavlik Randolph to the Celtics, according to RealGM’s Shams Charnia.

Austin Rivers, who was traded to the Celtics in the three-team Jeff Green deal with the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies, never reported to the team upon being traded. The Celtics planned to ship him right as the trade was completed.

Rivers will now be playing for his father, Doc, in Los Angeles, something the Clippers front office was craving for once he was made available for trade.

The two-year man, Reggie Bullock, will add wing depth for the Suns. The 23-year-old is known for his three-point shooting and solid defense. In two years with the Clippers, he averaged 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Shavlik Randolph will have his second go-around with the Celtics, only if he isn’t immediately waived. He played 16 games for Boston during the 2012-2013 season. Randolph has averaged 2.4 points and 2.5 rebounds throughout his seven-year career. Chris Douglas-Roberts, on the other hand, is definitely expected to be waived.

This move marks the ninth trade by the Boston Celtics since the offseason, and they are not done yet. Brandon Bass and Tayshaun Prince are expected to get traded or waived next, as Danny Ainge continues to shuffle players around. He has gone all-out with this rebuilding process

In addition to Rivers, the Clippers may still look to sign Nate Robinson to complete their roster. Currently, the Clippers have Dahntay Jones on a 10-day contract, and Robinson has yet to clear waivers.
