The Atlanta Hawks revealed their new uniforms on Wednesday in a press conference at 11 am. The event wased through Hawks.com and their official app. CEO Steve Koonin did a brief introduction about the new uniforms and then play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun took over from there. Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, and Kent Bazemore were all brought out together, each wearing separate uniforms.

The new uniforms were suddenly leaked to the public last night almost 12 hours before the anticipated presentation by Atlanta Hawks columnist Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The uniforms contained a red, black, and neon green color scheme.

Hawks fans were split on their feelings regarding the uniforms on social media. Many figured that the Hawks would instill some form of yellow or gold into the uniforms instead of green due to the history of red and yellow being intertwined in the team's colors. This is the second time that Atlanta has changed their uniforms since the switch to navy and red in the 2007-2008 season.

The Hawks organization made the change to display a "new generation" in Atlanta. The uniforms still contain the pacman logo that the team brought back last season. The Hawks will also be able to mix and match with the jerseys and shorts next season. These uniforms may not be a fan favorite at the moment but with the Hawks' current winning ways, their fanbase should grow on them over time. Check out the uniforms below.
