The Knicks have claimed Theo Pinson, who was waived by the Brooklyn Nets. In order to make room in the squad for him, New York decided to waive Allonzo Trier according to Ian Begley from SNY TV.

Trier, who was set to be a restricted free agent this summer, went undrafted in the 2018 and worked his way up until signing a two-year deal with the Knicks. The Arizona-product played 88 games at 'The Big Apple', averaging 9.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.
On the other hand, Pinson played 51 games over two seasons with the Nets, averaging 3.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 11 minutes per game off the bench. He also participated in nine games for the Long Island Nets of the G-League this season, averaging 15.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
This is the second move the Knicks make in the past month. They also claimed two-way guard Jared Harper on free agency waivers and waived two-way guard Kadeem Allen.
