In other injury news, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is not expected to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, via Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. Apparently if he takes another hit to the ribs the team may lose him for three to four weeks. It was later announced that the quarterback is inactive and Derek Anderson will start.

Jay Glazer from FOX Sports notes that 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree is a "true game-time decision" because of a calf injury. It was later announced that he will be active for Sunday's game. 

Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu has been improving from a torn ACL he suffered last season, but he is not well enough to play Monday night against the San Diego Chargers, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.
