Football is always trying to make sure that you have the right coaching staff, the right players on your roster, the right scouts, and getting everything organized just right to be able to run for a Super Bowl. The New York Giants have proven that with Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning that they have some of the proper pieces in place, but within the last few years they just haven't been able to get enough wins.

With the New York Giants having a new Offensive Coordinator this past season in Ben McAdoo, it comes as no surprise that the changes this off-season have to come on the defensive side of the ball. That is why the New York Giants have fired their long time defensive coordinator Perry Fewell. Initial rumors as to who might be able to replace Fewell would be his predecessor, who left New York to be the Head Coach of the St. Louis Rams, where he was 10-38 as a Head Coach, Steve Spagnuolo. Spagnuolo was last seen as the defensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints during their ill fated "Bountygate" season, where he was unable to work for Sean Payton, who was suspended for the 2012 season.

In the meantime it will remain to be seen if Fewell can find another defensive coordinator job this off-season or if he will need to wait until 2016 to find a gig as a defensive coordinator. Usually these things just rotate themselves around, and Fewell certainly will not be out of work for long.
