The New York Giants have not made the playoffs since 2011, the year they won their fourth Super Bowl. In the three seasons that have followed they have posted an underwhelming record of 22-26. Many would say after last year's 6-10 record 2015 will be a make or break season for many people involved in the Giants organization.

Last season for the Giants new offense under the direction of new Offensive Coordinator, Ben McAdoo, things started off rough, but as the season progressed the Giants began to find their stride. This year the Giants will need everybody to get off to a hot start as soon as the season begins.

Listed below are four players, depending on how they preform, who will make or break the Giants 2015 quest to win their fifth Vincent Lombardi Trophy.

Eli Manning

Throughout his entire NFL career quarter back Eli Manning has been consistent with one thing; being inconsistent. After a nightmare 2013 in which he threw just 18 touchdowns against a league leading 27 interceptions. Under the new West Coast offense in 2014, Manning improved mightily with 30 touchdowns against just 14 interceptions.

Manning is now 34, and going into the final year of his contract. To give the Giants any hopes at the playoffs this upcoming year, Manning will have to turn back the clock and play like the 2-time Super Bowl MVP he has been in the past. Manning has a multitude of weapons in the reigning rookie of the year, Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz, and the newly signed, very elusive running back, Shane Vereen. With a whole crew of targets the pressure is now on Manning to lead the Giants back to the playoffs in 2015.

Prince Amukamara

The Giants 5th year corner had a good start to his 2014 campaign, but a torn bicep ended his season. Due to the injury, Amukamara played in just 8 games finishing with 3 interceptions and 46 total tackles. Before the injury, he was on pace for his best season as a pro.

This year Prince Amukamara will look to continue off his strong injury ended 2014 season playing along side corner back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Amukamara has the skills to be a top 10 corner in the NFL but injuries have effected him many times in his young career. If he is able to stay healthy in 2015, Prince Amukamara will be a major piece in the Giants quest back to the playoffs for the first tie since his rookie year.

Victor Cruz

Just like Prince Amukamara, an injury ended Cruz's 2014 season short. A torn patellar tendon in his knee ended his year after just 6 games. Due to the abrupt end Cruz finished with just 23 catches for 337 yards and 1 touchdown.

A large part of how Cruz will play this year depends on his recovery. It appears now Cruz should be ready to go week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys when the season starts September 13th. If he fully heals and is able to be the force he once was, playing along side Odell Beckham Jr. will be very tough for opposing defenders to cover. If Cruz comes back strong it will be a big component in the Giants new season.

Jason Pierre-Paul

Last but certainly not least, is the newly injured defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. JPP was injured severely in a freak accident on July 4th. The injury resulted in an amputation of his index finger and a fractured thumb. He was coming off a strong 2104 season in which he had 12.5 sacks and 76 total tackles.

This year a large part of the potential Giants plans will depend on Pierre-Paul's ability to play. JPP has not attended any practices this off-season yet and now with the injury things look bad. If he comes back in time for the season opener it will be a big boost to the Giants. If he is able to play close to what he was last year, he will be a big part in the Giants hopes to make the playoffs in 2015.
