The Buffalo Bills have two preseason games left but it appears the team may have its man. The Buffalo Bills opted to have two of its four quarterbacks play on Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns. Tyrod Taylor got the start and EJ Manuel finished out the game.

Tyrod Taylor was 7-for-10 for 65 yards passing and ran for 41 yards on four carries in the first half against the Cleveland Browns. Three of Taylor’s completions came on third downs. Tyrod’s biggest run came on designed run play where he gained 21 yards.

EJ Manuel came in for the second half and struggled a little early, but managed to lead the Buffalo Bills in the fourth quarter to a 11 -10 win over the Browns. EJ’s game-winning 86-yard drive included a touchdown and two-point conversion. He finished 9-for-14 with 111 yards.

Matt Cassel didn’t play in the game Thursday. Rex Ryan said he chose to showcase two of the younger talents in favor of having the veteran on the field. Many have speculated this may mean Matt Cassel is going to be the starter, but Rex Ryan reiterated after the game the starter hasn’t been named. He said the team would not announce the starter unless the league made them or until right before or at the beginning of the Colts game on September 13th.

Despite Rex saying a starter hasn’t been chosen, the Tyrod train seems to be picking up steam.  Many like his style and his ability to not only pass but run. Others argue he needs to run less and pass or hand off more. With two more preseason games and a starter yet to be named, no one knows for sure who the starter will be. Right now it appears Tyrod has the edge but time will tell.
