The South American Qualifier to the Qatar 2022 World Cup, started at the beginning of this month. Every nation played two matches, one as the home team and one as a visitor.  There are ten teams in the qualifying tournament. In the end, the first four will directly participate in the World Cup and the fifth-placed competes for a playoff.

Brazil leads the table

The Brazilian squad is the leader of the tournament, with six points in total. Tite commanded the team in two matches, winning, respectively, Bolivia and Peru.

In the last game, Neymar overcame Ronaldo Fenômeno” in national club goals. Besides of the good results, the national coach is being criticized by the Brazilians. Remember that Tite was hired by CBF in 2016.

Messi is not a regular player in the argentine team

Argentina, commanded by Scaloni, ranks second among the ten countries. Besides that, the argentine players are not in a good phase, especially because the performance in the last match. At the beginning of this week, Argentina defeated Bolivia 2-1, but the Bolivians scored the first goal and Messi didn't play very well.

Chile with only one point

The Chileans, in the two games played, got one draw and one lost. The country that has Rueda as coach, was defeated by Uruguay and finished 2-2 with Colombia. Chile, a traditional nation in football, is in the seventh position in the table.

Next matches

The South American Qualifier will stop for a while. The tournament, organized by Conmebol, will return next month, on November 12th.
