Background

A favorable balance for the ché in the clashes between Valencia and Cá diz with 16 wins for the Valencians, while eight clashes have ended in a draw and five times the Andalusian club has won. The último confrontation took place in October 2021 where the match ended in a goalless draw. In 2011 they met in the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey where in the first leg they drew 0-0 and in the second leg Valencia won 4-0.

With the arrival of Sergio González, the team from Cadiz has two victories and a draw. The last one against Levante with goals by Salvi and Negredo. In the Copa del Rey they have eliminated Villa de Fortuna, Albacete, Fuenlabrada and Sporting de Guijón, the latter in the penalty shootout. Cádiz has been reinforced with the arrivals of Alcaraz, Idrissi, San Emeterio, Luis Hernández and Lucas Pérez.

Valencia come from losing to Atlético Madrid in stoppage time and a point at home against Sevilla. They are in LaLiga Santander in top position with 29 points, five points away from Europe. In Copa del Rey they have already eliminated Utrillas, Arenteiro and Atlético Baleares.
