1884 Lincoln

Also known as The Imps, Lincoln City's rise up the leagues in recent years was spearheaded by the Cowley brothers before they left the club for Huddersfield Town, where they were sacked. The club is now managed by Micheal Appleton, playing in League One, the third tier of English football.

The club were founded in 1884 following the disbanding of Lincoln Rovers. The club play their games at Sincil Bank.

Lincoln were able to go on an incredible run in the FA Cup in 2017 whilst they were still a non-league club, reaching the Quarter Final of the competition. They were the first non-league team in over a century to reach that stage of the competition.

The Imps were the giant killers in the competition, beating Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley in the Fourth and Fifth Round respectively. Lincoln were eventually beaten 5-0 by Arsenal which knocked them out.

The Lincolnshire side's main rivals are Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United.

In their third year of football in the third tier, Lincoln City will be hoping they can continue to produce impressive results in the 2021/22 season.
