FULL TIME: Burnley 0-3 Liverpool

FULL TIME. Well, that's it from me!

A good game in all truths, Burnley played their part and Liverpool did what they needed to do tonight.

It was great to hear and see the fans back in the ground, they were loud all night long and I bet they can't wait to be back there at full capacity.

Liverpool were clinical at times and sloppy at others but have built up a lot of confidence with quite a dominant performance in the end.

On another day - probably one where Nick Pope plays - Burnley could have been right in the game until the end.

It was a special night for them to be back in front of their fans, Liverpool can look forward to that on Sunday against Crystal Palace.

Exciting times for football fans now, with just one game to go this season.

Thank you for joining me tonight and throughout the whole campaign, I have been honoured to be your guide through some brilliant games.

But for now, I will see you again next time!

Stay safe!

FULL TIME: Burnley 0-3 Liverpool

FULL TIME. Final thoughts from me.

Liverpool weren't perfect tonight by any stretch of the imagination.

Burnley pushed them throughout and Liverpool squandered a number of good chances, especially in the first half.

The thing with Burnley is they get into the good positions and have the good ideas, but the execution just isn't there.

McNeil's deliveries were hit and miss all night long, not giving Wood anything to feed off of.

Liverpool took advantage of this with some clinical finishing when it was needed and three well-worked goals have given them a massive boost for Sunday.

Poor Will Norris in goal will not want to watch any of the goals back because they don't paint him in a pretty light, but a special night on his debut nonetheless.

FULL TIME: Burnley 0-3 Liverpool

FULL TIME. Liverpool have been worth their win tonight.

Roberto Firmino fired home just before half-time before Nat Phillips got his first goal for the club.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain thrashed home a third late on to give The Reds a huge push on their assault on the top four.

Burnley gave it a go and did themselves proud on a night their supporters came back, the visitors' quality just shone through in the end.

46. First chance for Burnley!

A tame effort by Wood is well held by Alisson, but his distribution is poor.

HALF TIME. Liverpool take a 0-1 lead into half time after Roberto Firmino's 43rd minute.

Debutant Will Norris hasn't had much to do but definitely could have done better with the goal, it was sort of scuffed straight at him.

Chris Wood had Burnley's best chance, firing wide from close range.

Burnley are still in this game, so see you in 15 minutes for a crucial second half for Liverpool.

Burnley 0-0 Liverpool

All three of Liverpool's front three have had big chances but this is the best of the lot.

VAVEL's Predictions

"A huge game for Liverpool, who are very much in the frame for a top-four finish. Burnley weren’t at their best against Leeds but, with fans back in Turf Moor, they should be more pumped. The Clarets enjoy being annoying and Sean Dyche would enjoy the prospect of bursting Liverpool’s Champions League bubble. However, their success at this challenge depends on who starts between the sticks. Nick Pope is touch-and-go for the clash. Liverpool will be praying that he just misses out; early suggestions are that he might.

Prediction: 1-2"

Brownhill back in the middle

With Gudmundsson back in the squad, Josh Brownhill returns to his central role, operating in a three with Jack Cork and Ashley Westwood.

They played a similar system at Old Trafford and had some success, lets see if they can go that bit further than they did against Manchester United last month.

Dyche on return of fans...

The backing from our crowd, they stay with us even if we have had a tough result of performance.

They seem to bond the team to what my team and myself give.

It will be great to see them back in the stadium, even in limited numbers.

I think we will quickly readapt to it.

I think credit to the players because some of the games have been fantastic and the fans would have just added to it whereas sometimes games need the fans to bring an edge to their team and the performance.

Fans are back at Turf Moor

After the latest relieving of restrictions, fans have been allowed back into football grounds all over the country, some for the first time in nearly 15 months.

That is the case at Turf Moor, where chairman Alan Pace has done something very special, which you can read about here

Klopp says...

On Burnley:

Burnley are really good and difficult to play, super attitude and in front of their own supporters and all these kind of things. Could it be more tricky? I'm not sure, to be honest! But that's now how it is.

On Top four chances:

[It will be] one of the biggest achievements ever – I know how that sounds, I know, but it's the truth

13:17a month ago

Dyche says...

On the win at Anfield:

It was a really good result.

We had to do the hard side of the game and do it well and stay in it to make sure we found chances and we did.

We know they are a good outfit and we have to play hard and work hard.

Team News - Liverpool

Diogo Jota is out for the remainder of the season, as confirmed by Jurgen Klopp on Sunday, as is Ozan Kabak.

James Milner and Naby Keita are doubts for the game, and the long list of Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and, of course, Virgil van Dijk are all absent.

Georginio Wijnaldum is likely to come in as the only change to the lineup after being rested on Sunday.

Alisson will be in goal after his goal-scoring heroics at West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.

Team News - Burnley

Kevin Long and Robbie Brady are still missing for Sean Dyche, as is Dale Stephens and Phil Bardsley - the latter needing surgery on a hernia. Nick Pope is touch and go ahead of the game after missing the crushing defeat to Leeds United but could be brought back in to replace Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Ashley Barnes, who scored the winning penalty at Anfield earlier this season, could be in line to make his return to the starting 11 after coming off the bench in the previous two.

Crucial game in the race for the top four

This is a must win game for Liverpool against a Burnley side who have beaten them once this season already.

However, the hosts have nothing to play for except pride and a few extra million in prize pounds.

Depending on the result of Chelsea vs Leicester City tonight, The Reds will be in with a chance at the top four if they win at Turf Moor.
