Andrea Stramaccioni is set to leave his post as Udinese boss after just a year in charge of the club.

The 39-year-old has had a poor season in charge of the Italian side having guided them to just 10 victories in their 16th placed Serie A finish.

A former player himself, the Rome born defender is in just his second managerial position after leading Inter Milan during the 2012-13 season.

The Little Zebras made a positive start to the campaign, winning four of their first five league fixtures which placed the club firmly towards the top of the table.

Since then, Stramaccioni's side struggled to find a consistent run of form and ended the season in a disappointing 16th place, just four points above a relegation position.

Serie A managerial departures

The Italian becomes the third Serie A coach to announce his departure after Rafa Benitez and Sinisa Mihajlovic left their posts at Napoli and Sampdoria respectively.
