Napoli are lining up a €13 million move for Barcelona defender Marc Bartra as per Di Marzio reports, as they look to strengthen their side ahead of the Serie A season.

The La Masia academy graduate found playing time hard to come by last term as he made just 14 league appearances for the treble winners.

"An Interesting League"

The 23-year-old's agent, Javier Diaz said that his client and himself "can't rule anything out," and that he is looking for what is best for "Bartra's future."

Diaz did mention Napoli in an interview with NapoliCalcioLive.com but had nothing other to say about Italian football other than that it is "very interesting."

The Spaniard on the other hand in a different interview admitted he couldn't see himself "wearing another shirt than that of Barca" and that he hoped to be at the Nou Camp for his "whole life."

However, Sky Italia reports suggest there have been meetings between Bartra and Napoli and that the pair agreed on a five-year-contract.

Maksimovic snub

The Stadio San Paolo outfit have seen a €13 million offer for Nikola Maksimovic turned down by Torino according to Di Marzio reports.

Maksimovic was largely overshadowed last season by the excellence of defensive partner Kamil Glik, who was one of the highest scoring defenders in Europe but was one of the leagues best defenders.

The Serb also remains a target for Milan who are struggling in their attempts to sign Alessio Romagnoli from Roma.

Astori on verge of joining

Napoli and Cagliari have agreed a €5 million fee for Davide Astori and the player has agreed personal terms although the medical has been delayed twice due to problems with Astori's image rights.

In order to complete the move, the Italian international may well have to terminate his contract with Puma or see the move fall through.
