Lazio have completed a deal believed to be in the region of €7 million to bring Luis Alberto from Liverpool to the Italian capital.

Alberto underwent his medical this morning at the Padeila Clinic in Rome ahead of the move. The move also includes a 30% fee of any future sales for the Anfield club as well as further bonuses if Lazio qualify for European football.

The Spaniard leaves Liverpool after three years where he found opportunities limited and is the Biancocelesti's sixth and most likely last addition this summer.

An attacking midfielder primarily, the 23-year-old can also double up as a winger. Last term he spent the season on loan at Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna and netted six times and provided eight assists in 31 outings as the 1999/00 La Liga winners narrowly avoided relegation.

Alberto's first chance to impress the Lazio faithful could come against Chievo Verona in the first game back after the ongoing international break. His first home appearance could come the following week against Pescara.

Sixth signing for the Aquile this mercato

Alberto joins the likes of Ciro Immobile and Moritz Leitner through the doors at the Stadio Olimpico as the capital club continue to try rekindle former glories after a period of little success.

Immobile's addition to Simone Inzaghi is without a doubt the biggest signing the club made over the summer and a real statement of intent as to where they want to get themselves.

The Italian international rewarded his new employers instantaneously with a delightful double on his debut as Lazio saw off Atalanta 4-3 on the opening weekend of Serie A in what could already be one of the games of the season.

Other signings include defensive trio Jordan Lukaku, Bastos and Wallace who arrived on Italian soil from KV Oostende, FC Rostov and Sporting Braga respectively.
