La Verdeamarela comes to this duel after entering the second round of FIBA Americup as the absolute leader of the championship, they finished the Group Phase undefeated with 3 wins. Brazil started the championship with a victory by a score of 72 to 63 against Canada, after that they dominated Colombia with a victory by more than 40 points and closed by beating Uruguay by a score of 76 to 66. The team led by Gustavo Conti has great experience, among his summons stand out Marcelinho Huertas, George De Paula, Yago Santos, Didi Louzada and Rafa Luz. These players have been of great importance in getting Brazil to where it is and they will fight to lift the cup at home. Brazil faces the Dominican Republic and starts as the great favorite to advance to the semifinals. In the next instance it could be measured against Mexico or Canada, strong rivals and the Mexicans being the team's last recent defeat.

Andres Feliz, a must see player!

The point guard from the Dominican Republic is one of the great figures of his country, he plays for Club Joventut Badalona in Barcelona, Spain. Feliz managed to show that he was one of the most relevant figures for his team, averaging 18.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game with the representative of the Dominican Republic. Andres Feliz is one of the most experienced players for the Dominicans and is one of the team's offensive leaders, he will seek to improve his connection with Ángel Delgado and Sadiel Rojas to complicate the match for his rivals and fight for a ticket to the next round.

The Dominicans come to this duel after entering the second round of the Americas Qualifiers as the second place in Group C with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses. In their last two games, the Dominican Republic beat Panama by a score of 70 to 61 and lost to Venezuela 72 to 76. The team led by Melvyn López has great experience, including Víctor Liz, Ángel Delgado, and Rigoberto Mendoza. and Christopher Duarte. These players have been of great importance in getting the Dominican Republic to where it is and they will fight for one of the tickets to the next round. The Dominicans are placed in Group B along with Argentina, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, so the fight will not be easy.
