After taking a loss at home to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooklyn bounces back to take a win.

Offensively, the Nets were off to a better start than in their previous game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They did struggle to take care of the ball, however, as they had five turnovers with eight minutes to go in the first quarter. By the first timeout, Nets held a 13-11 lead. A hot shooting display for Brooklyn in that first quarter, as they ended it on 85 percent shooting from the three-point line. The Nets took a 10-point lead to end the quarter.

By halftime, Brooklyn was up 55-42. Out of 20 costless throw attempts in the first half, the Nets were able to convert on 15 of them. Brook Lopez and Deron Williams led Brooklyn in scoring at the time with 13 each. For New York, Carmelo Anthony was the high man with 10. Mirza Teletovic provided a nice first half spark off the bench for Brooklyn with 12 points. The Nets shot 45 percent in the first half while the Knicks were at 39 percent. Both teams struggled to take care of the ball as Brooklyn had 9 turnovers while New York had 8.

To start off the second half, the Nets went on a 9-0 run. Shots continued to fall for them while the Knicks played some sluggish defense. Williams would then begin to take over the game as he got aggressive on the offensive side by driving to the paint. He was able to scored 12 points in the third quarter. Brooklyn had a 86-68 lead entering the final quarter of the game.

Williams would not be done doing scoring damage. During the first few minutes of the fourth quarter, he scored four points to expand the Nets lead. Anthony struggled throughout the whole night with his shooting, and New York coach Derek Fisher sat him down midway through the fourth quarter. Knicks rookie Cleanthony Early was ready to play as he ended the night contributing with 12 points. With 2:47 left in the game, he was able to knock down a three pointer to reduce the Nets lead to just 13. Jarrett Jack was able to respond with a three of his own and from then on, it would be all Brooklyn. New York was able to outscore the Nets in the final quarter 31-24.

Anthony ended the night shooting a devastating 5-of-20 from the floor. He did finish the night with 19 points, in major part due to the eight costless throws he converted. Knicks just couldn’t be consistent offensively throughout the whole game. The Nets hot shooting was just too much for them to handle.

Williams finished strong as he ended with 29 points. Lopez contributed with 20 while Joe Johnson added 18. Another strong point in this game for Brooklyn was their rebounding. The Nets starters combined for 26 rebounds while no individual player was in double digits.

Brooklyn will look to wrap up their home stand with a win on November 9 as they will take on the Orlando Magic. New York will look to end their current two-game losing streak as they will face the Atlanta Hawks on November 8.
