It is rare to see two brothers in the NBA, let alone see them signing deals on the same day of free agency. That's been the case for the Hernangomez brothers', as the Spanish Centers have signed contracts for the coming season with different teams.

First it was 'Willy', who reached an agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans on a one-year minimum deal.

Hernangomez averaged 6.1 points and 4.3 rebounds last season with the Charlotte Hornets and is expected to get some big minutes under Stan Van Gundy. The 26 year-old joins Steven Adams and Jaxson Hayes as the only Centers in the Pelicans roster.

On the other hand it was 'Juancho', who has finalized a three-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, worth $21M.

The Madrid-born, who averaged 6.0 points and 4.1 rebounds, has been with Minnesota since February 2020, where he was a part of a four-team trade.

Both New Orleans and Minnesota have exciting young teams and will be in the playoff hunt in a tough Western Conference. The Timberwolves may have the edge though, being led by D'Angelo Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns and 2020 No. 1 overall pick, Anthony Edwards.
