Robin van Persie could be looking for a new club this summer as he looks to play first-team football on a consistent basis.

With the departure of Falcao and possibily Javier Hernandez, Manchester United have been linked with strikers around Europe such as Edinson Cavani and Carlos Bacca, which could see Van Persie fall further down in the pecking order.

The striker, who made only three appearances for United in the last three months of the season, said he has to consider his future at the club: "I'm going to calmly sit down and consider everything," said Van Persie.

"Take note of my words. I feel 100% fit and have ambitions to play every week."

The Manchester United striker also claimed any decision on his future would be heavily influenced by his family and children.

He said: "It's a strange, difficult situation. A new situation, that's a better word. I have to think in a realstic way. I'm thinking about my family and my children with every decision I take.

"These are very important for me. I'm a real family guy. I think it's fantastic to see how happy my children and wife are. That's something I take into consideration when thinking about my future."

Despite only notching 10 goals last season, Van Persie brushed off any critisicim whilst acknolwedging it wasn't good enough.

"That's at least seven goals short but I think it's a compliment people don't accept it. Manchester United is a beast that has two sides. Manchestter United is viewed and followed by more people than at other clubs, and also has more media," he said.

"I have to deal with that. I made that choice and must accept the consequences."
