Nevertheless, I've been Craig Vickers and it's been a pleasure. Enjoy your day!

Not since the opening day of the season have Napoli tasted defeat and it will be intriguing to see their reponse when Roma visit the San Paolo next weekend.

The defeat means that a win for Fiorentina over Udinese at 2 PM would see Napoli, who began the weekend at the summit of the table, plummet to third. Inter, in the meantime, stay top.

A brace from Mattia Destro and a header from Rossettini proved suffice for the hosts, who were forced to withstand a late Napoli seige thanks to a brace of his own from Gonzalo Higuain.

A high-octane thriller throughout, as Napoli's 18-match unbeaten run comes to an end.

Full-time: Bologna 3-2 Napoli.

94': Lopez concedes a free-kick with seconds remaining.

91': Sub for Bologna: Diawara off, Pulgar on.

89': Hamsik feeds Higuain who frees himself from Oikonomou with a deft touch and the Argentine finishes with aplomb. Frenetic conclusion.

GOALLLLL!!!!! 3-2!!!!!! HIGUAINNNN!!!!!!

86': Insigne clips a cross towards Higuain and the Argentine scoops his finish past Mirante.

GOALL!!!! 3-1!!! HIGUAIN!!!!

85': Napoli, despite the chastening experience, are still carving out chances. Neither, though, have posed questions of Mirante.

84': CHANCE! Jorginho deftly feeds Mertens from a free-kick but the Belgian flashes his attempt across goal.

83': Napoli work it well but Insigne blasts over.

75': Sub for Napoli: Allan off, Lopez on.

75': Cries for a handball as Destro blasts against Koulibaly.

73': Sub for Bologna: Rizzo off, Mbaye on.

66': Destro flaunts his impeccable hold-up play and releases Rizzo, but he drags his effort wide.

64': Sub for Bologna: Brienza off, Brighi on.

64': Sub for Napoli: Callejon off, Mertens on.

62': Sub for Napoli: Hysaj off, Maggio on.

62': Hamsik fizzes a cross into the area but Koulibaly cannot make a clean connection. Sums up Napoli's afternoon.

59': Hamsik inadvertently sends through Destro and the forward scuffs his effort under the body of Pepe Reina.

GOALLLL!!!!!! 3-0 BOLOGNA!!!!!! DESTRO!!!!!!!

56': CHANCE! Callejon tees up Insigne for the first time vollet at the back post, but Mirante is equal to his effort and Bologna are able to clear their lines.

52': Masina releases Destro but Albiol intervenes to great effect.

48': Allan slaloms his way past several Bologna midfielders and curls towards goal but his effort lacks sufficient bend.

46': Bright start for Napoli, as Hamsik tees up Higuain but the forward blasts over.

45': Second half gets underway!

Higuain has been anonymous, while Callejon has wasted several opportunities.

Goals from Destro and Rossetinni seperate the sides. Bologna have, as they have so often been, resolute and defence. Napoli, meanwhile, have lucked a cutting edge.

Half-time: Bologna 2-0 Napoli.

41': Frequent altercations between Gastaldello and Higuain. The Argentine yet to fully impose himself on the game.

40': Destro booked.

34': In fact, replays show that Mirante tipped his attempt onto the post. Remarkable. Napoli, though, are beginning to crank up the pressure.

34': CHANCE! Higuain's strike deflects off Oikonomou and falls invitingly to Callejon. The Spaniard meets his volley first time but it crashes off the post.

32': CHANCE! Best opportunity of the half from the away side. Albiol finds Hamsik who nods across to Insigne but the attack can only header straight at Mirante.

27': Higuain is ushered in by Insigne but Gastaldello is quick to foil the attacker.

23': Brienza is picked out at the edge of the area but the midfielder blazes his effort over.

20': Rosettinni rises highest from a corner and powers his header beyond Reina. A remarkable start!

19': Taider clips a delightful ball to the back stick, where Albiol intervenes as Destro lurks.

13': That's the ex-Roma forward's third goal since arriving. And all three have arrived under Donadoni.

13': Diawara lofts a hopeful ball over the Napoli backline where Destro latches on, shrugs off Albiol and dispatches under Reina.

GOALLLLL!!!!!! BOLOGNA 1-0!!!!! DESTRO!!!!!

11': CHANCE! Napoli break at speed. Taider's challenge frees Insigne who tees up Callejon, but the Spaniard is denied, down low, by Mirante.

9': Insigne receives a pass from Koulibaly and fashions a shot at goal, but it trickles just wide of Mirante's post.

5': CHANCE! Brienza curls the subsequent free-kick at goal but Reina is equal to it.

4': Mounier is upended right on the edge of the penalty area by Koulibaly.

2': Higuain collects possession and releases Callejon, but the Spaniard's cross, aimed at Insigne, is overhit.

1: It's a full house inside the beautiful Stadio Dall'Ara.

1': Napoli get us underway!

Inter's victory over Genoa last night means only a win will see Napoli reclaim top spot.

Teams emerge from the tunnel to a cauldron of noise.

Bologna XI: Mirante; Rosettinni, Oikonomou, Gastaldello, Masina; Taider, Diawara, Brienza; Mounier, Destro, Rizzo.

Napoli XI: Reina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam; Jorginho, Hamsik, Allan; Callejon, Higuain, Insigne.

Kick-off is set for 11:30 AM BST, with team news expected to be released one hour before. Stay tuned!

Bologna probable line-up (4-3-3): Mirante; Rossettini, Oikonomou, Gastaldello, Masina; Donsah, Diawara, Brighi; Giaccherini, Destro, Mounier.

Napoli probable line-up (4-3-3): Reina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam; Jorginho, Hamsik, Allan; Callejon, Higuain, Insigne.

Surprising, though, has been the defensive parsimony of the side. They currently boast the best defence in the league and Kalidou Koulibaly, although still liable to the ocassional error, has improved massively at the heart of defence.

Jorginho has dislodged Mirko Valdifiori -- Sarri's prodigy -- in midfield while Allan has proven the dynamic midfielder to complement the ex-Verona man's steel.

Lorenzo Insigne, meanwhile, remains a matchwinner on his day -- as Verona experienced a fortnight ago.

Gonzalo Higuain stands alone atop the Capocannoniere goal charts and netted a brace against second-placed Inter on Monday evening.

Opportunities have been at a premium for the Belgian, however, and don't expect Sarri to deviate from his preferred XI against Bologna.

Sarri, meanwhile, confirmed the omission of Manolo Gabbiadini, though Dries Mertens will return to the side.

Donadoni urged his players to cover every blade of grass when Napoli visit. Destro, he confirmed, will return to the side after injury, though Matteo Mancosu and Domenico Maetta will be miss out through injury.

Roberto Donadoni eulogised about the impact Maurizio Sarri has made on the Naples outfit in his pre-match press conference, citing the criticism the ex-Empoli boss came under -- famously, Diego Maradona's cutting criticism of the Naples-born coach.

Anthony Mounier's form may have slumped, but the winger remains a potent option. Emanuele Giaccherini, as well, has earned an Azzurri call-up on the back of his impressive form.

Mattia Destro, who was profiligate under Delio Rossi's stewardship, has begun to show signs of promise, netting against Atalanta and Roma, from 12 yards, last month.

So, too, has the midfield axis of Godfred Donsah and Diawara belied the Rossoblu's lowly league position.

Speaking of Masina, it has been the prodigious full-back who has attracted admiring glances from several of Italy's heavyweights.

Again, you can scour through a comprehensive minute-by-minute coverage of the frenetic 2-2 draw here.

Bologna edged infront in that game via Adam Masina, before a pair of spot-kicks from Miralem Pjanic and Edin Džeko staged a valiant ending.

Roma provided a sterner test and, thanks to Mattia Destro's late leveller, Donadoni prevailed unscathed.

His impact was felt almost instantly, as Atalanta were swatted aside by a three-goal margin before they travelled to Verona and consigned Hellas to the foot of the table with a thoroughly dominant 2-0 win.

Succeeding Delio Rossi after the Rossoblu's 1-0 defeat at home to Inter, Belotti's strike last weekend was the first goal Bologna had conceded from open play under Donadoni.

Last weekend's limp display aside, though, Bologna have been rejuvanated under Roberto Donadoni, who departed Parma at the end of the season.

You can a comprehensive match report from last weekend's contest here, by yours truly.

Roberto Donadoni's side took until the 80th minute to fashion their first shot -- courtesy of Diawara -- before Guiseppe Vives rounded Mirante to seal all three points for the hosts.

The Rossoblu were, if conservative in attack, resilient at the Stadio Olimpico last weekend but a moment of magic from Andrea Belotti broke the deadlock with 15 minutes to play.

Bologna welcome the Partenopei after defeat to Torino in their last outing.
