ALBANY, NY -- The Villanova Wildcats recorded their first shutout since 2013 en route to a dominant 37-0 win over the Albany Great Danes on Saturday afternoon.

Quarterback Zack Bednarczyk didn't have to do much for the 'Cats, but he did play a literally flawless game at the helm of the offense, completing all twelve of his passing attempts on the day for 152 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

He became the first Division-I quarterback this season to complete 100 percent of his passes with at least ten attempts.

Bednarczyk hit Kevin Gulyas for four grabs, 77 yards, and a 51-yard score to lead the Villanova receiving crew. Gary Underwood also caught a 16-yard touchdown reception.

Javon White had a big day on the ground to add balance for Nova as well Saturday, racking up 124 yards and a score on 16 rushes to lead the Wildcats.

Three different rushers scored touchdowns for Villanova on the day - White, Aaron Forbes, and Matt Gudzak. Underwood added 49 yards on 10 carries as well.

Albany quarterbacks combined to throw four INTs against Villanova. D.J. Crook completed just 13 of his 24 passes, notching 157 yards and three of the interceptions while Neven Sussman had his only attempt picked off.

Brad Harris and Zee Roberson combined for 77 yards on seven catches for the Great Danes; Elliot Croskey ran for 35 yards and Dione Alston for 30 as well on the afternoon.

Cameron McCurry led the Nova defense in their shutout, causing three turnovers -- two interceptions and a forced fumble -- to make for a successful day at the outside linebacker slot.

Villanova now improves to 2-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association -- 3-3 overall -- while Albany drops to 2-5, 1-3 in conference play - also in the CAA.

The Wildcats face the Towson Tigers (3-3, 1-2 CAA) in an away game at 7:00 PM EST next Saturday.
